@@AC-pg9ws it’s not bad. I have chained up twice. Once over Donner and once in Washington. I was light both times which helped. Just really slow it down before the drop, especially when heavy. The worst is I80 through Donner and in Wyoming.. I assume Schneiders policy is still, if you have to chain you DONT have to go if you don’t feel comfortable.

any more relays with Melton? I had one the other day that took me 5 hours to complete (all local, only a few miles). How is Melton about the fitness thing? I think the recruiter told us the company pays for your gym membership. If drivers are able to take advantage of gyms, they are lucky!

@@CarryMePlz2239 literally just got a relay today🥲 I have been lucky not getting many. But it’s close to the holidays so I get it. Relays for flatbed are 1000x worse than dry van relays imo. But I get to take there load and it’s going to PA so that’s cool

It was for Joann’s NE DMV I actually enjoyed doing dedicated. It’s good to get that yr under your belt then you can move to another account. @@kydveli I’d try to stick with them for at least 6 months, it doesn’t look good to company hop (unless your planning on working for a family friend, or have a for sure gig) pays gonna suck at first, but you gotta push through it. Just pay attention and ask your trainer as many questions as you can think of. The in house course was good, but once you go out on the trainers truck for week, you’ll learn way more. Go slow, don’t hit shit and you’ll be good. Schneider is very forgiving as long as you don’t hit shit. Good rule of thumb is try and shut down when you have only 2 hours left on your clock, especially if you’re in CA. They usually give you plenty of time for appointment times, and even if you miss it they’ll understand your new. The first six months you’re just trying survive hahaha. Best of luck, you got this

Schneider invited me to training then after having my info for a month before hand and being in training for 2 weeks, they sent me home saying they had a problem with my background check. And have been trying to collect the cost of training. I told them I’m happy to come and finish training and work . I’m waiting to see how seriously they try to collect. They seem to be bringing in people and not finishing the training but trying to make money off of them. I wouldn’t trust them. I promise for those thinking I did something wrong and not saying so . I did not do anything wrong. The Charolette trainers liked me and I was very far ahead of others Schneider has issues

sounds like you were "well" paid by Schneider. On OTR, I get .41 + $10/hour. Yeah, I'd rather shut down instead of dealing with big city traffic and potentially blowing through my 14 hour clock because of a $12 relay

@@Ode2squatchyy yeah, that's why I hate "going home". That's when they usually give me relays. Once I had nothing but days of several local runs that felt like relays. I've been working the Coke contract but they worked me way too hard the first week and start of this week so I already requested to go back to OTR. What I means by "worked too hard" is that they'd just give me too much and I barely had time to take a shower before having to sleep (of course, some relays in there too!!)
