Hi, Is this still free to download as I can not find it? and does it still apply to 2023 updates of Illustrator, thanks Jake
@FashionChalkboard2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Sorry the files are not available anymore. My storage system was hacked during 2020 and these files are lost. Good news is that the technique shown works in the current Illustrator environment. Feel free to let me know if you got it to work.

Ludee great video. Sound, well you will get great use out of that new microphone you now have from VidSummit. It will take a little adjusting to get your level into your camera the way that you want it. Have a great rest of your weekend. After VidSummit it feels like we are all back in the footrace ;) Best to you and your daughter Warmly, Bill (AKA Uncle Bill)

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, it’s not working for me. Maybe I have to start the artwork from scratch? Because even if I set the stroke to 100% it remains transparent. Not sure exactly, what I’m doing wrong 😳
@FashionChalkboard3 жыл бұрын
Hi Suzanne, Is it possible that your stroke is below the fill? Sometimes that happens. Makes sure that the order in the appearance panel is stroke on top, then fill. If that isn't the case - If you would like you could take a Loom video or take a screenshot so we could look at your settings. You could DM me on Instagram.

Hi! Can you add more trim brush with v neck corners please
@FashionChalkboard4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, will keep it in mind. Thank you for watching and commenting. In the meantime did you see this one? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZ24gHyHa75nm7c it's showing how to reflect a brush. for v neck corners you would usually draw a left and right clipping mask with the brush inside and match the edges at the V center. So two straight edges meet at the V center. Here is a video on general clipping masks. Hope this helps a bit for now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZ24gHyHa75nm7c

@FashionChalkboard4 жыл бұрын
HI there, Make sure you are looking in the brushes window. In the bottom right corner where you have the trash, new brush.. the third icon from the right is the options of selected object button. It looks like a list. Make sure that you are selecting a brush (line stroked with it) in your artboard and then click on the options. Good luck. Let me know if you find it.

Hi. how do I apply this technique on curve line. tq
@FashionChalkboard4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy, hope the steps below help you 1. Create a brush (pattern brush) with the fringe detail. 2. Draw a curved line (black stroke) and then apply the brush to it. 3. Expand the fringe along curve and proceed with the other steps.

I'm so confused about the format of digital portfolios.
@FashionChalkboard5 жыл бұрын
🌼 Hi Andrea, You can choose what digital look + layout you want and then decide where to showcase it. You can have it on your devices like an Ipad to take with you. Or you could have it on your own website or a portfolio site. Additionally, you can create a PDF for emails. Check out my free course on this topic where I talk about this a bit more. GOOD LUCK and thanks for voicing your confusion. fashionchalkboard.com/how-to-create-a-portfolio-for-fashion-and-textile-design-kit/ 🌼

This is so inspiring indeed 😊😇 So what size should my portfolio be when applying for job after 3 years course of textile design?
@FashionChalkboard5 жыл бұрын
Hi Bongavi ( I hope that is your name?), I think that the portfolio size is entirely up to you. I have used US letter size lately. When I was fresh out of fashion design school, I was carrying around the giant portfolios that made me look like a fresh graduate. To me, it is more important that the layout that you choose for your presentation stays consistent. You don't want to have to keep rotating the pages as you walk the interviewer through. I cover a lot in my free course: fashionchalkboard.com/how-to-create-a-portfolio-for-fashion-and-textile-design-kit/

Hi Ludmilla. How can you draw and, at the same time, it automatically appears the reflected part of your piece?
@ludmilalembke30535 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosella, Thanks for asking. Let me try and put this into words. I am using a group (white lines) that is set up with the transform effect (reflect and move 1 copy) through the appearance panel. Once this is set up to fit my croquis I have to double click to isolate the group and draw in the group isolation mode. This will then preview the mirror drawing. I will probably do a KZbin video on this in the future. There is already a free step by step (module 2) and a template to try out in the Studio. fashionchalkboard.com/5-free-ai-psd-tools-to-help-supercharge-your-digital-design-workflow/
