Teachers/lecturers in education are ineligible disciplines according to page 37 of the guideline, however on page 18 it says being employed to lead workshops/master classes may be allowed. Those two seem to conflict so I’d email the arts council to clarify. The vast majority of actors and film crew are not rich. They’re just normal people trying to provide for their families and make a living like the rest of us. It affects everyday working people not just the outliers like you mentioned. That’s one reason there was a strike.

On page 16 of the Art Council's guideline they state "If you have appeared in professional artistic programs as a member of a group, or with another individual, you CAN provide evidence of the contribution you made to their work instead." The word "can" implies that you don't have to but it's an option. I'm not 100% sure. I personally did submit letters with my ensemble work to cover all my bases just in case it would count against me if I didn't. I never asked the Arts Council this question personally.

Im aware of the necessity of 2 media recognition. What if i submit 10 pieces of evidence and they find that 8 were viable? including the 2 media rec. i should be good to go right?

I've done both while here and have gotten more auditions than the US. I think this is partly due to being in a niche market as an American. All the roles I've booked have been for American characters. It's very expensive here, but if you plan it right you can make it work. Cheap rooms typically go for around £1,000 with roommates.

No more than 10 pieces of evidence total. You can have less than 10. If you submit media you have to have at least two pieces of that category.

Hi Chris. I received a response in 6 weeks for each stage. That sounds like it qualifies as long as you did everything that's required in the guideline. A question I kept asking myself throughout this whole process is "will this count as evidence?" You don't know for sure until you submit. Just try not to give them a reason to turn you down which is listed ( in the guideline) on what doesn't qualify.

Hey Chris. Yea I thought about talking more about this, but decided not to in case it became problematic. As mentioned in the videos I used community theatre and improv troupes I was in for some of my evidence. If you're not sure if you're evidence will be accepted just make sure doesn't go against any of their guidelines. I found myself asking this same question up to the last minute I sent it off. "Will this count?" You won't 100% know until you get their response. I wrote out a checklist of everything I had to do. That helped me. Good luck!

on page 29 of the pdf guideline "sculpture" is included under visual arts. For rec letters I'd imagine you would get letters from institutions that include this discipline

@@rasoullavasani6067 If it's a UK company/organization you'll have to look them on up on the link provided. Yes a person could give you a rec letter if they're an expert in it. I'd imagine an art gallary would qualify. Email the arts council to make sure.
