No I just experimented with open D tuning slapped on a capo and went with some chords that sound like the song. Glad you like it though, BOC are one of my favourite artists of all time.

First you need to to tune your guitar to open D - (D A D F# A D) then you put a capo on the first fret. Then I would experiment a little, If it helps listen to the original track that's what I did. Also If you can finger pick or you are better without a pick that might help to. I hope helps you a little, it's not easy explaining things and i'm not one for reading or making TABS. Also If you are still struggling to figure it out I can do a separate explanation and tutorial video if you would like. Good luck man and I wish you well!

The tuning is in drop D and the chords are 1st Fm, 2nd Em, 3rd Asus repeated for as many times as you want. Chorus would be C open power chord G barred power chord and then D open power chord. The outro is like Asus only played on the 7th fret (that's the first chord) then slide down to Asus then finish of with the barred Fm and Em. I hope that explains in well sorry for late reply.

I don't have any tabs as I play by ear but the tuning is in drop D and the first chords are Fm, Em, and Asus and then the chorus would be C open power chord, G barred power chord and D open power chord. The outro is an Asus shaped chord on the 7th fret then sliding down to a normal Asus (2nd fret), then back to the Fm (3rd fret) and Em mini barre chords. I all play them open to create the droned effect with the chords. I hope that helps, sorry for the very late reply.
