I have struggled with C7 pain FOR YEARS and - you were right - have been doing that head shift stretch that never really did much good. Thank you for the quick demonstration and explanation! I have already felt less pain just by allowing my neck to curve back - something I didn't know was correct neck posture until watching your video. I greatly appreciate your lesson. Namaste.

Sitting down to long each day shortens your front hip flexors. Which affects your lower back. Stretch properly every day with lunges and fix your lower back pain. You’re welcome.

From personal experience I can tell you, trade out that road, gravel, mtb bike for a bmx. I couldn't ride after breaking my back 4 years ago. I started riding a bmx race bike. I'd do sprints and 1 mile time trials. I've sold my other 5 bikes.

Thank you, Great Video 😊👍 Question: Are any of those Office chairs that supposedly give "Lower-Back-Support" useful...? or could they do more harm...? Thanks
@BackInShapeProgram
@BackInShapeProgram 2 күн бұрын
I think in general chairs are really a function of how you use them a great lumbar support can be a great slouching support if used incorrectly. As a general rule i do think the manufacturers are trying to make good chairs so i would say they should be good, but if you don't have one, a small rolled towel can work perfectly too :)

I watched a few of your videos especially stopping the child's pose which I did stop reluctantly and that and avoiding bending forward was a game changer. I'm back to riding my recumbent bicycles and walking further and longer. An old Bike-E is my most back friendly recumbent bike but added a car lumbar cushion to make it better. Used an old cheap fabric lumbar brace from my mother to wrap around seat back at the base which prevents the lumbar cushion from slipping through that gap between seat back and seat. The seat is a compressible foam which makes a difference. I cut a notch out of the foam where the tailbone is which made it even better. They stopped production of Bike-E's but many were made and I see them a lot for sale online. Some put electric kits on them. They have many lower gears for hills too. Takes a week or so to master riding them and get the balance so wide open space is best. Don't give up. Actually a Facebook group dedicated to them. Getting the seat angle adjusted and distance depending on leg length is critical. There's a PDF online and Bicycleman in NY USA great resources. Many of those recumbent bicycles have too hard seats or poor angles. I know my strained sacrum area nerves are sensitive to hard seats backs and seats or better said not soft enough. Just wanted to pass that on. Hope it helps others.

I'm senior in Texas USA this Channel's AMAZING. Even a spine doctor says " you have a lot of different things wrong with your spine all in lumbar area. surgery would only take care of some of pain, so no surgery and here no options for pain meds. Your exercises have helped sooo much but which exercise helps with groin and elec shock going down inside of left leg. Hope other therapist find your channel.

Thanks for the review. For my sore side deltoid (after a round of golf), I’ve been using the Therabody massage gun to aid in recovery. Would this be a better tool to use instead or would it help to use it in conjunction with the massage gun? Or is the massage gun all I really need?

To be honest i think the cube is not ideal for the shoulder as it is difficult to get it to contact bony or rounded areas as well. However, if you've got an element of supraspinatus involvement it would be quite helpful, just strap it on and have your arm resting on a chair or something to improve the contact of the cube. The massage guns are great though and so useful for many things (i'd be going around the neck and shoulder girdle, plus the biceps - in fact check out the video below - do that :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h56cfmuuoKefe5I

Ice the spine & heat the muscles. Anti inflammatory may help (see your doctor for dosage and allowable duration). HOWEVER, IF you can find a good chiropractor who can get the misaligned vertebra(s) back into correct position... thats helpful. Has to be a good legit chiro. I eventually discovered how to self adjust it sometimes by doing an alternating knee roll taught me by a (good) physical therapist. If you've been in a car rack and the QL muscle is in a permanent spasm, then you need to find a therapist who knows how to release the Q.L. Muscle using Travelle Trigger-Point release. And (not kidding) pray to God to heal your spine. Divine healing is actually real. This is what Jesus taught his disciples to do because its real. Read James 5 for a start and go through the Gospels. If You're a christian and you know how to lay hands on your own body, you can do that. Keep at it until the healing manifests!

so by eliminating herniation or protrusion of the disc the facet joint syndrome is going to go away?
@BackInShapeProgram
@BackInShapeProgram 5 күн бұрын
By helping the segment with the disc injury re-stabilise the facet aggravation will resolve too. People often think of the back as disc OR face, but the reality is that it is a SEGMENT which has a disc & facet and the health of the two and their function are related.

How much salt in the bottle of water!? Will it help reduce peeing!? How to lower overactive bladder!?
@BackInShapeProgram
@BackInShapeProgram 5 күн бұрын
Just a pinch normally in a 1litre bottle. It wont help the overactive bladder. Anecdotally if you make your water consumption more consistent your body does seem to adapt (just bear in mind we are not kidney/bladder experts though so please take that comment with a pinch of salt - excuse the pun)

Can standing all day at work prevent my disc bulg from healing? I use a standing desk at work. I have discomfort sitting.
@BackInShapeProgram
@BackInShapeProgram 9 күн бұрын
In short its better than sitting all day of course, but you still want to try to break up things during the day and make sure you keep those hips mobile, the biggest thing with standing all day is that it will be just as tightening on the hips - which can then pull on the back more.

Most of the Paraspinal muscles are erectors i.e. they hold the spine erect = with a lordosis, the notion that they are the cause of a LOSS of lordosis is misguided to say the least - such a common comment we see time and time again. :(
