For God's sake, stop repeating this nonsense. The height of a mountain is by definition the difference in elevation of its peak above sea level. If you want to use alchemy to make a mountain in the United States taller, why not use the same measurement method (from the bottom of the ocean to the top of the mountain) for Everest? With this method, the difference in elevation from the bottom of the Mariana Trench to the top of Everest is 65,065 feet (19,832 meters).

Human caused climate change is a hoax used by the liberals to grow governments and waste tax dollars to prevent it or at least reduce its effects on worldwide populations. They can use and abuse all the weather projection models there are but they can't get more accurate than nature's own axiom: in the short term, weather is cyclical, sometimes its warmer, sometimes its cooler. Climate on the other hand, oh wait, climate is cyclical as well. The only variable is the duration of each cycle. And since the earth is still warming up after the last (mini) ice age (late 1500s to early 1800s), we should expect the earth to keep getting warmer until our sun completes its transition cycle into complete hibernation. Then the earth will start getting cooler. NASA predicts the suns hibernation cycle will be complete by the late 2020s to the early 2030s. Then you can counter all the hysteria about fighting global warming to switch to fighting global cooling like these same 'soothsayers' were saying in the 70s and 80s. No really, literally these same ones...

Fake news. If you’re gonna measure Mauna Kea from the sea floor instead of sea level, then you must also measure Everest from the sea floor instead of sea level. If we’re measuring the tallest persons, we measure from the feet up for both people. We don’t measure from the feet for one, and at the waist for the other
@GeographyHawks7 ай бұрын
It’s an interesting point. Does Everest go to the sea floor…? Would measuring Mauna Key from sea level be measuring from the waist…?
