hi i have a case almost same with joystick, but i have more additional movement which is z movement (just linear to z direction). so with that case is it can be though as joystick case???

This was a great video. I understood things that by all rights I should not have. I need to note the simplicity of the first joy-stick's design. Good work friend. Keep making videos. Keep teaching people concepts. I appreciate you.

all very clear, if I use it in joystick mode, I can get xy orbit movements as well as z axis movements. If instead you wanted to rotate the stick while remaining with the z axis perpendicular. How does it recognize the movement the magnet will have the south face above the chip?

how can you get the z axis of the joy stick with only one sensor?
@TWOKDOK19 ай бұрын
The Hall effect sensor has three orthogonal probes each measuring the magnetic flux in the plane to which it is aligned.

These applications seem pretty linear. What about non linear applications? If I put a 3d magnetic sensor on a object that passes through various magnets at 1cm distance between them but without that much linearity, then what?
@decaffienately Жыл бұрын
Very cool product. It's unclear to me though how you would translate the movement of the magnet over the sensor into +/- X and Y coordinates. If the sensor is only detecting the mT from a single point, when the magnet is to the left or right of the sensor, for example, it would detect the same value, right?

You need to get in touch with a manufacturer to make console controllers with your magnetic joystick modules and you will be rewarded by millions of customers who are frustrated with the current potentiometers which wear out in 6 months. During the last 5yrs I have paid out more in new controllers than what my Xbox One X console cost me.
@conorstewart221415 күн бұрын
This is nothing new and your problem is a solved problem already, Hall effect joysticks already exist using different methods to this but console manufacturers just won’t use them, likely so that you have to keep buying new controllers.

@@conorstewart2214 Yes they are everywhere now and I have two of them, a Gulikit and 8BitDo. Do Microsoft even do one yet?
Question...I'm really new at all of this, and I have some inventions I want to bring to fruition...should I start with this, should I start on this level, or somewhere else? I know nothing about electronics, but as an inventor, I need to start somewhere, so can anyone help...SAY YES

Can you explain how to do through hole components? I am using a pcb board for my microcontroller, a couple of resistors, and transistors but I don’t know how to tell Altium I want to solder my own things and not do SMD components
@bogdankostic776Ай бұрын
Just search for Throgh Hole components instead of SMD, and altium will automatically generate component with holes.

why did you polygon pour both sides of the PCB to ground? isn't one layer enough for the ground pour? im only asking because ive seen alot of video online where they have only poured one side of a 2-lyered PCB.
@sandysavard80302 жыл бұрын
Great 👍 Video very interesting. In your video you mention that tactile feedback can be added to the joystick, by means of adding a spring. Would you be interested in creating a joystick for me . I would pay you . Let me know thanks .
Why do all these ALTIUM videos have such a bad screen resolution?

Hi Roman, when you created the full area top and bottom polygon pours for the ground connections did that create two new individual layers on the board that are complete copper layers? If so, where are those layers located relative to the actual top layer with the silk screen comments and bottom layer which included additional track routing? Thanks!

I do not know how people can be programmers when critical parts are constantly changing. First I open project as shown and the WebBrowser is missing. Then I open the browser project and it is .xaml instead of .VB Tutorials are becoming as perishable as bread and milk. I am sure this is as aggravating to you as it is me.
