That was a fantastic presentation, Dr. Tranmer! Thank you for uploading it!

Wow. Fascinating. It only further shines a light on how deliberately misleading, divisive, dishonest and destructive the US narrative is in our fragile existence.

Lovely to descover myself after all these years on this channel. I did not know/remember that this had been registered. It's fine for me, no problem! :) Still a worsewhile method for urban anthropology!

The lecture is very good and easy to understand but yes the audio quality made it kind of hard to follow through. If its not feasible to re-record everything, please try to provide subtitles, that would be helpful.

The so called redbrick universities are among the most prestigious institutions in the UK and in the QS ranking with entry qualifications very similar to those for Oxford and Cambridge. The High Flyers' annual report by the 100 top employers in the UK places several redbrick universities above both Oxford and Cambridge graduates for the capabilities of their graduates. These are the Universities of Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Warwick, Nottingham and Sheffield. Along with Oxford & Cambridge, all the above universities are members of the UK's elite Russell Group of universities. They are all in the QS top hundred universities in the world (out of 27,000 universities globally) . Also, check out the QS world employment rankings for how sought after these graduates are by global employers. For example the University of Bristol is 55 in the world academic table but 49 in the QS employability rankings. The University of Leeds is 75 in the world academic rankings but 51 in the QS global employment rankings. These employment rankings are probably even more important than the academic rankings.

Being a brick myself (baksteen in my native language), I would like to thank you with all of my agency for this amazing lecture. It reminded me that I exert agency over people all day by allowing them to walk smoothly over me. Certainly a peak in my object biography, this realisation.

Great presentation! Hope I am not the only person who watches it in 2022. Helps me understand why we got some grumpy reviews of our last couple of qualitative papers. We were trying to be open minded and curipous while some of the reviewers could understand why we had asked set questions and presented every participant with the same stimulus materials.
