Great vid! Opens up many new possibilities for me. Are you by chance still adding filters? Or can show us how? I am using the Antila 4nm SiiOiii filter and do not see it in list. Thank you!! Edit(I am assuning the altair dualband you list is the HaOiii, not the SiiOiii?)

Just south of McCormick park in Duvall. At the start the drone is roughly over NE 145th St facing southwest. At the end, now facing north, you can see the Jet Ski is between McCormick Park on the right and Muddy Boots farm on the left.

Hi Jason, Since yesterday, I can no longer import the two Player One filter files that worked before, even after a Set default filters. I had managed to combine them with those of my IMX571C camera (Player One Poseidon) and SPCC worked perfectly. G:/1-Additional filters - SPCC/Player-One-Anti-Halo-Pro-DualBand-HA_OIII.csv: Player One Anti-Halo Pro DualBand HA+OIII G:/1-Additional filters - SPCC/Player-One-Anti-Halo-UV-IR-CUT-filter.csv: Player One Anti-Halo UV IR-CUT filter *** Error: Unable to determine a default luminance filter <* failed *> That was my first problem.. The second concerns a filter that I created from the curve provided by Altair. I have this error when trying to download the .csv with FilterManager *** Error: No filter name has been specified: G:/1-Filtres supplémentaires - SPCC/Altair-DualBand-SII_OIII_4nm.csv <* failed *> Could you explain where my mistake is? The files are available via the WeTransfert link : we.tl/t-7KsPBPIq52 Thanks in advance for your help ! Jean-Marc

It's ok I found how to do it including from paper chart like the one Altair provides with its filters. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Its not 93,000,000 miles away. And how do they get their calculations using math that says 1x1=1 when 2x2=4? If they have never been to the sun how do they know how far away in miles it is? No one ever questions anything and that is why we live in slavery

amazing. That first prominence was more than 122 000 kilometres long (78 000 milies) or more than 19 times larger than Earth. It gives me chills to think that something that large and hot moves through the space as fast as 17 km/s (10.5 mi/s), not very far from us.

I did the same last year with a Lunt80 and ASI83MM-Pro. 1m captures at 9fps with full resolution creates a lot of data to process. Right now, I'm working on getting an 11-hour timelapse from May done. I found doing 30-sec captures at 10fps and stacking the best 10% gets pretty good frames.
@JethroXP3 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I did 100 frame captures, but they were fast, about 56fps. While I think the results were pretty good I think I need to experiment more to see if I can improve.

If Jupiter is Hydrogen Gas planet, how come its density is 1.3 g/cc, heavier than water? Even solid/liquid hydrogen is only 0.07-0.09 g/cc in density. Solid/liquid meaning they are squeezed and electrons of separate atoms are touching, sometimes shared.

Great video Jason. What software did you use to produce the video?
@JethroXP3 ай бұрын
I use CyberLink PowerDirector 365 as my NLE. But to get to that point I used SharpCap Pro for the sequence capture, Autostakkert for stacking, ImPPG for deconvolution and tone curves, and Photoshop for colorization of the monochrome images.

Thank you! It's been a learning journey for sure! After a couple days of failed attempts I realized that daytime polar alignment just doesn't cut it for long time lapses. I ended up polar aligning on Polaris the night before and it still had more movement than I'd like. I might give the new PHD2 with solar tracking a try.

Good alternative to Zwo since you can only use their cameras. Planning on running something like this with svbony cameras with Nina, since they are a little more affordable.

Hi! How does meridian flip work on this mount with asi air? For some reason the flip doesn't work for me.
@clarky_astro7 ай бұрын
Hi Jason. Thanks so much for doing this. I'm sorry to bother you but I'm trying to set up the IDAS NBZ-UHS filters (RGB respectively) with the new FilterManager and add them to my existing filter database, but without success - endless error messages from PI. When I select "import CSV filter definitions" from the folder I downloaded the csv files from your link, the process console says "Error: unable to determine a default luminance filter" Any idea how to overcome this? The complete lack of PI documentation for the FilterManager is rather frustrating!! Thanks again - you're a star
@clarky_astro7 ай бұрын
Sorry, I seem to have done it somehow, though I've no idea how. I exported the existing csv files then copy/pasted your files into the same folder then merge with csv definitions, merge with default filters.....all in FilterManager. I really don't understand what I've done - I used to just load my own xpsd file each time and it worked fine
@jean-marcgillard7 ай бұрын
Hi Jason, unfortunately it seems that these "Curve explorer" and "filter management" buttons had desapear with the latest PI update. 😪 JM
@jean-marcgillard7 ай бұрын
Now there is a process call "Filter management"
@JethroXP7 ай бұрын
With the most recent version of PixInsight they have moved filter management out of the SPCC Process and into it's own process called FilterManager. It can be found in Process > Spectrophotometry > FilterManager.
