Let's try and do this... "De Oude Tufferbaan" "De" as in "Demand". We'll break up the next word into "Ou" as the "o" in "tower" and "de" the same as before. "Tufferbaan" I am not gonna lie this one was harder to explain, "Tu" like the "te" in "interresting" where the "e" is more of an "uhh" sound, "ffer" is the same as "fur" (may sound a bit more like American English) even though the first "f"is technically part of the "Tu" sound most people will probably not hear the difference, "baan" I can not for the life of me find a word in English that has the same sound in it, you pronounce it quite well (sound a bit more German than Dutch) all I can say is the "aa" sound of it happens more in the back of the mouth in stead of in front, I have no idea if that helps at all. You guys do really well with "Joris en de Draak" its just a matter of rolling your "r"s a bit more, that goes for most pronunciations in Dutch. As long as you roll your "r" and make the "g" sound like you staring up an old car in the winter you'll be perfect.

Hi, I watched all your Efteling vlogs cuz I'm a big Efteling fan as well and live in the Netherlands. And I love your vlogs! Just wanted to let you know the whole end of the story about the Wolf and the 7 children because you all seem a bit upset about it.. and I get it, it's a sad story.. BUT mom goat later on finds the wolf after she found the little goat in the clock. The wolf was asleep so she cut the wolfs belly, got the children out, put heavy rocks in the wolf belly and sewed him back up. Later on he falls in the water because he was so thirsty and had a full belly of goat/rocks(he thought) and he was never seen again.. so after all a happy ending for mom and the children 😊❤. Hope that makes you guys feel a bit better about this story. Still a bit grimm but a good ending and a little lesson for children to learn to not open the door for strangers. Again, love your vlogs!!

I really enjoy watching your Efteling videos. how you and the children enjoy the Efteling and the appreciation you have for the Efteling and Dutch culture in general is fantastic to see. Many people compare everything with Disney and they find everything that is different strange and stupid because they don't understand culture. I also saw that you missed a few fairy tales. I love the flying Dutchman ride! I'll try to give it some context because if you don't speak Dutch everything seems quite random. You enter the house of Captain Willem van der Decken. 11:55 You wonder what's going on. And then you discover the captain's double life. You see his face in mirror 12:22 and hear the unspeakable words, "I will sail even if it is for eternity!" Then you enter the smuggling corridors under the house through the secret entrance behind the painting. 12:27 where the captain has stored his gold in a secret treasury. You smell a burning smell. And then we arrive at a harbor cafe. 12:41 Fortunately, a little later you arrive at a beautiful boarding port. 13:36 You slowly sail between a few enormous ships. Then it suddenly becomes darker and darker. You suddenly smell the salty sea air then we end up in a thick fog and we feel that something is wrong. Then thunder and violence erupts. You end up in a ship cemetery where the flying dutchman's ghost ship attacks you. Then we take a deep dive and suddenly find ourselves lying on our backs on the lift hill where we now find ourselves in the underworld of the captain Willem van der Decken. At the top of the lifthill we fly outside and then land back in the water and realize that we have fortunately escaped the curse of the flying dutchman. 14:50

Despite the bad weather, Captain Willem van der Decken set out to sea with his ship the Dutchman looking for wealth and riches. His greed was so great, that he ordered his crew to sail on Easter Sunday, although it was forbidden. Since that day, everyone on board is doomed to sail forever on the seven seas. Nowadays, the red-sailed ship is still sailing around the world... people called it the flying dutchman.

Nice vlog ! I was impressed how much you knew about Efteling like that you knew the first ever Madhouse was built in Efteling. Most people think Efteling started as a fairytale forest but it started as a main football field with 2 practice football fields and a playground. They kept adding more things to the playground and more people came with their children. Then they decided to build the fairytale forest and people from all over the country started coming. Now some Dutch people will tell you Walt Disney took inspiration from Efteling. There is a black and white KZbin video of Walt Disney visiting The Netherlands for business called "Walt Disney visiting The Netherlands" Walt Disney visited in 1951 the the year that Efteling finished building the Fairytale Forest. The town he was doing business in was a 30 minutes drive from Efteling. The fairytale forest was big news in 1951 so his business partners could have told him about Efteling as both dealt with fantasy characters but no one knows for sure he went to Efteling. There are more themeparks in The Netherlands but Efteling has a special place in the hearts of most Dutch people as they went there with their parents, grandparents or school trips. I even heard someone from England say he went to Efteling on a school trip when he was 9 years old. Dont know if that is common in England to have such expensive school trips. Going on a ferry with a busload of children and then going back to England at night is an impressive school trip. Even for us Dutch people an Efteling school trip was a big happening and a 2 hour drive. We are out the country in 3 hours so 2 hour drive for Dutch children is pretty long drive. Efteling is the second most visited themepark in Europe, Disneyland Paris number 3 most visited and Europapark in Germany number 1 most visited themepark. I know one imagineer / Efteling designer now works for Disneyworld. Efteling is built in a nature reserve and is not owned by a big corporation. Efteling is owned by a foundation which focusses on theming and keeping the park authentic. Because Efteling is part of a foundation prices of entrance, food, merchandise are cheaper than Disney. I saw that you went when Danse Macabre was still being built. When Danse Macabre opened people from other countries came, a tv talkshow was held about Danse Macabre and the waiting line was 4 hours. The famous symphonic band Epica was asked to to redo the already existing musical piece Danse Macabre. Symphonic metal is sort of opera singing mixed with metal which surprisingly worked well together to make a spooky videoclip in and outside Danse Macabre. This videoclip is on KZbin. Back in the day in the 70's Kate Bush was asked to sing at the predecessor of Danse Macabre called Spookslot. There is a video of this as well. Back in the day dark ride Symbolica was the most expensive ride in the Benelux costing 35 million. They estimated that Danse Macabre would cost 25 million but they went over budget 10 million so Danse Macabre matched Symbolica. Hardcore fans of Efteling said that Danse Macabre is now their favorite dark ride choosing it over Symbolica and Droomvlucht / Dream Flight.

Congratulation you have found the best beer the Netherlands has to offer, in my opinion anyway. BTW you said "poffertjes" perfectly. If you'd like to know how to pronounce "Pardoos and Pardijn" maybe I can help. "Par" is the same as Par in golf "does" is basically the word "do (as in doing)" with the "s" from snake attached to it, as for "dijn" it would sound the same as "die or dye" with the "n" sound at the end as in "night or not". Hopefully typing it out like this can help a little, I love the fact that you guys actually care for how things are pronounced so I'd love to help out.
