Hey there! I'm new to your channel, sir and I'm loving your content! This is a stellar list, in my opinion. I honestly believe Terror Train is one of the most underrated and under-appreciated horror films of all time. And The Changeling is one of my favorite movies of all time. The rest of the titles on this list are wonderful in their own way as well 😀

Thank You so much for your kind words! I absolutely love 80's horror. I absolutely love the setting in Terror Train. That in of itself set it apart from other slashers. It was great watching it again after so long. Welcome to the channel and I am happy that you are a fan of the channel. Working on getting the best of 1981 outby the end of the weekend. Make sure you hit that bell so you'll be notified when it drops. Stay safe, stay tuned! YEAH!

@@scotticusprimeawesome, looking forward to it! Yes, 80's horror is truly a wonderful thing! Have you seen the documentary called In Search of Darkness? It's all about 1980's horror and the impact it's had on the film industry and the culture in general...a great watch! Just out of mere curiosity, do you have a favorite 80's horror film? Or a top 5 or 10 or 20? Lol 💖

I have not seen In Search of Darkness, but I'll definately seek it out and give it a look. As for a favorite 80's horror film...by the end of the series you will be blessed with 100 of my top horror films from the 80's! However, I am thinking of doing a top ten of the number 1's from this series and see what my number one pick will be for the entire decade. I chose to do this series because it was hard picking a number 1 for the decade. Maybe this was a way into it. Thanks for taking the time to comment and engage with me. Best to you my friend.

I vaguely remember a syfy movie from the '80s that had to do with some sort of space junkie that made a drug from humans with a big transparent needle like thing on a big wrist band (predator like) to puncture the skull for blood I think.... And I remember something about the junkie shooting discs. Adifferent alien ( cop? ) trying to get him. Anyone kinda know what I mean? I can't find it anywhere.

Terminator (1984) is better than any film on this list (narrowly beating out "Aliens"), I'd argue that it is a sci fi twist on the slasher horror films that were so popular at the time.

For starters, “THE SMALL ONE” is based on the children’s book by Charles Tazwell. It came to theatres in 1978 care of Disney. Now, among those who worked on it were Don Bluth. The late actor Gordon Jump from the sitcom “WKRP IN CINCINNATI” is the voice of Joseph the carpenter from Nazareth. The plot outline is as follows: A Hebrew woodcutter wishes to sell the smallest of his donkeys because of its old age, much to the grief of his son. Now, the largest city nearest to Nazareth is where the boy takes the donkey named Small One to sell him. A Roman centurion at the city gate sends the boy in the direction of the leather shop run by the town’s tanner. However, the boy and the donkey flee. All day long they wander all about the city. The potter calls Small One ‘A sorry bag of bones’, then the baker refers the donkey as a scrawny under nourished little beast, and points out that his wife (a fat lady gobbling doughnuts) is of a healthy size, and that he’d best get a horse at least. Then three singing merchants send the boy to an arrogant auctioneer (voiced by the late actor Hal Smith aka Otis from “THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW”), and cause a malay in the process. By the time that the sun has gone down, Small One still hasn’t found a new owner. Then hearing the boy’s tearful cry, a mysterious gentleman walks up asking, “Tell me son, is this donkey for sale?” The boy looks up, and sees the friendly face of Joseph, who then replies, “I need a gentle donkey to carry my wife to Bethlehem. Does he have a name?” So when the boy says, “His name is Small One.” Joseph replies with a friendly chuckle, “Small One?! He looks strong enough.” So, Joseph pays the boy one silver Shekel, and Small One finds a new home with the Holy family from the nativity. On his way home to his family’s farm the boy witnesses from a hilltop, the journey to Bethlehem of Joseph and Mary. Also, there’s no better way to end the movie than having the star of Bethlehem appearing high overtop of the stable. Now, a few KZbin channels might have it as well as Disney+ on Roku. Ofcourse, it’s also on the very same Disney DVD as the 1952 animated short titled “PLUTO’S CHRISTMAS TREE” and “MICKEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL”. Just check all around for starters, and maybe next year at this time, a review of “THE SMALL ONE” would be nice to include among animated Christmas classics possibly?!
