Lovely ride. The dialogue between father and son (I assume so) roughly at 7:30 is quite sweet!

Why are there lights in the tunnels? The Tube does not. Good video. It saves a 200 mile trip to London to ride on the DLR.
@Geeves86126 ай бұрын
If the train stops folks can walk unaided along the walkways in an emergency to the nearest emergency exit. Obviously that's not an issue on the tube as you can't get out except a long the actual rails through the front of the train with the aid of lots of staff

OMG look at how badly the oncoming DLR is swaying from 2:22 to 2:26. You can literally see the coupling that is attached to the wheel boogies oscillating back and forth. That is crazy how much it sways though. It seems like it is about to derail! A very severe case of Hunting Oscillation here.

Dear! Please help us with the purchase of air tickets from Uzbekistan to Budapest for a family of 5 (we have 2 children). Yes, we need the amount of 4,000 dollars, but we cannot collect it ourselves. This amount will go towards airfare and accommodation for the first time. Since we can no longer remain in Uzbekistan, we are not citizens of the country and there is no work. If you have such an opportunity, then you simply have no idea how you can help us, please, please help. Bank card 4854700216100549

It’s amazing how clean & tidy the P.Way & Infrastructure is. Puts the Overground, London Underground, and heavy rail to shame! Just shows what can be achieved with care & commitment. ps: The Glasgow Underground is affectionately known locally as the “Clockwork Orange”. Three reasons: 1) It’s painted Orange. 2) It goes round & round & round… 3) It was designed to only connect the rich Protestant parts of the city. Serves Ibrox (Glasgow Rangers) but not the dilapidated Catholic East End and Celtic Park (Glasgow Celtic). Our Dutch 🇱🇺 friends will understand the Orange significance…

Canary Wharf to West India Quay is such a short distance that it must be just as quick to walk between them via the nearby footbridge

Thank you, great views, I did not realise the extent and size of the surrounding infrastructure . Has the population center of London moved eastwards, I am eighty odd, Poplar etc was east London!!!
@quintuscrinis2 жыл бұрын
I don't know if the population centre has moved but, as the docks fell into disrepair, a lot of the land around them has been redeveloped into apartments and other buisness/living space to make Poplar and areas around it a destination area where a lot of especially younger professionals now live.

The third rail, seems to Ridges evenly spaced, pick up shoes would be decimated!!? So where is the power coming from? Patrick, Northamptonshire
@ashrithbhagavangowda27232 жыл бұрын
The power is picked up from the third rail itself but unlike London Underground trains, the contact between the pick-up shoes and third rail is at the bottom.
@tw25rw2 жыл бұрын
The white thing next to the track is the elevated 3rd rail.
@peterwhitaker40382 жыл бұрын
excuse my ignorance, but is the power picked up by that cental rail or the outer 3rd rail? i don't live anywhere near London but it's a cute railway like that one up in Glasgow that goes round the city underground. must visit both sometime.
@peterdean80092 жыл бұрын
It's the outer 3rd rail, bottom contact, same as is used on the Amsterdam metro.

Die alte Hungerburgbahn war aber komplett deplatziert. Schaut man sich die Fahrgastzahlen und den touristischen Mehrwert an war der Neubau unumgänglich.
