It's too bad that Caddy didn't do the right thing, I'm not sure if you tried another dealership or not and not for noting you shouldn't have had too Caddy should have taken better care of you and your concerns, its a torque converter issue and according to my dealership not a big deal. The car is so good I urge you when you get a chance to try another one down the line, of course it isn't perfect but when its good its really good, wish you luck on your next ride.
