My little son (preschool until age 9) and I used to come here to see movies and also eat Chinese food in the food court (1990's). He was always mesmerized and happy to step into the glass elevator and "zoom, zoom, zoom" up to the cinema upstairs.

Filled all now with empty office space. Homeless now not allowed even to sleep under the marque on the streets.

And then The Party was Over. Once I lived across the street. Jim Marshall i think, the purple people eater had a restraunt often serving me breakfast with grace ans a smile. Maybe ir was Allen Page? Sorry it was a long time ago. They were building this then. Once I lived in a penthouse across the street. Meers Park. And my roommate played piano. For the Minnesota Orchestra. Jach owned it. And he would often come to come to dinner Friday nights. Chopan etude played on a 1914 Steinway Full Concert Piana The masterpiece of our living room then AIDS And the Party ended. Now only ghosts walk these indoor streets

Is the movie theater still there. Their snacks use to be high as hell. I remember when they had The Rudolph Valentino bar and grill, with that famous barbecue.

I’ve got a nickname for malls. I call them sandcastles. They are built on a similar foundation and eventually fall like sandcastles.

I live like 20 minutes from the site. I witnessed most of the demolition, and plucked a brick from the demo site. Still have it today. The Macy's and Boscov's buildings at Marley Station are architecturally similar to the ones at Owings Mills. I love going to that mall because of that

WOW!!!! Many memories of that place. I remember the grand opening that was a dig deal for Augusta and Augusta mall opened a couple months behind Regency mall. Really sad passing by that place when I come home to visit..😞 I've had some great times just hanging out with my friends at that pizza 🍕 restaurant and crazy kool store Spencer..😅

They don't have any Dillard's there in Minnesota do they? I like watching a lot of these department store and Mall videos. One of my favorites used to be the Dillard's at Ward parkway it was a four-story department store in South Kansas City. Unfortunately it was demolished about 10 years ago. Formerly opened as a Stick Baer and Fuller in the '70s and later became Dillard's in the 80s. Had these huge columns that rose up to the unusually designed overhanged 4th floor of the building. There was a multi-level parking garage attached to the first and mezzanine levels. I've got a video on my page about it.

Nope no Dillard's in mn. Daytons basically scared off any potential competition including Dillard's. The Ward Parkway store was a great example of Associated Dry Goods architecture (Stix parent co). However its flaw was the parking garage, parking garages don't last forever in the midwest because of salt. The Former Stix at Crestwood court was demolished for the same reason as Ward. The garage was done for in both instances.

Pretty cool video. This lobby of this building and shopping mall area kind of reminds me of the 900 North Michigan avenue building in Chicago. Just like water Tower place in Chicago which is right near it they both house a shopping mall with about several stories and then up above is either condos or office space.

You really must like the carpeting, the floor. All we ever saw was the floor, and how jerky you were with camera, weaving back and forth. I would be ashamed of this video.

Please don’t permanently delete your elevator videos, nor even the elevator parts one you did because those are my favorite ones I have watched for a very long time! I’d keep them as long as I wanted for, but I do completely understand about moving your interest ahead towards something else. I really love both the vintage Westinghouse elevator parts to the far right of you, and I’ve always wanted to see something like that for quite a very long time.

Biggest problem, this building is a rundown shithole. The property management cut corners every place possible, The roof all over that atrium leaked every single time it rained. It was/is a dump. Used to be a very nice looking building, but it's far from those glory days.
