evan was supposed to be so smart, but he made some real dopey decisions. telling their dad to unload all of his abuse on tommy, running straight to the mailbox, handing a clearly traumatized kid a weapon, lighting the Dynamite right there inside the basement? This is why i prefer the director's ending...Evan was too stupid to live

Watched Donnie darko last year and decided to rewatch it the other night, always loved the film since I discovered it last year and the butterfly effect came up as recommended so I decided to watch it last night. Both movies are amazing and now I'm thinking alot about time travel because of both movies lol

Best scene was the dick slip of ashton. It made that scene so authentic and amazing because he wasnt acting at all

Everyone should read the novelization of this. It better explains that Evan is not in county jail, but state prison after being wrongfully convicted of murder. And later there is a scene where he goes back in time and saves Carlos from himself.
