Yes that was absolutely breathtaking, very different from other performances. I really like Jussi in this aria, but this was much better. Sorry I’m clueless, but hopefully somebody knows . As a Swede I recognized i 2 recordings (100% sure) with Jussi: 00:44:56: Leoncavallo, Pagliacci ( recording with Renato Cellini) and also at 01:01:37: Bizet, Pearl- fishers duet together with Robert Merlin (very famous recording, Jussi had a bad hangover but pulled himself together and sung at his best according to an interview with Robert Merlin) Boheme, Mimi’s aria at 00:10: 13. Was that Maria Callas? Probably but I’m not sure! - No Pavarotti in this video-- The Nesum Dorma was sung (not so good) by someone unknown to me!

I hope tenors and sopranos remember the family of the man whose compositions gave them fame and fortune. So many tenors and sopranos became rich and famous singing all these songs. I hope Puccini's family is well paid.
