I agree, that was a tough loss for the Crimson Tide, but he can’t conduct himself like that as a captain of that team. He did formally apologize, but it doesn’t take away the fact that even though Alabama is elite, they still have to learn how to lose with class.

October 21, 1905: Wabash College defeated Notre Dame at Notre Dame, 5-0. It was Notre Dame's only home loss in 125 games from 1899 to 1928.

Seriously, I didn’t know that. That’s very interesting so I really do like facts from historic games from the early 1900s. You know it’s actually kind of crazy those guys were out there with leather helmets, but I bet there was no targeting penalties back then 😅

Why did the opening montage mostly include NFL footage? Only a few seconds of it included college programs.

Well, if you think about it, didn’t NFL players play college football at one point? Also avoiding copyright strikes can be a challenge.😂 I appreciate you turning in hopefully you find value in this content and you subscribe🎉

Boise State and Chris Peterson were incredibly irritating crybabies. Playing a soft schedule and possibly competing with or beating one good team per season is not the same as playing decent physical teams 7-8-9 games a season. BSU could never have held up to that level of abuse.

Paul Thompson the starting QB for Oklahoma was a WR for them the year before. He only got the starting QB job because Rhett Bomar was dismissed from the team. Thompson was not a good QB.
@CollegeFootballLegends3 ай бұрын
Rhett Bomar's issues on and off the field really left a void at the QB position. His story is quite interesting as well. What was your opinion of that game? Ya think OU was a depleted version of themselves or did Boise make a legitimate statement as an elite team?
@jandbyoung13 ай бұрын
@@CollegeFootballLegends First you did a great job telling story. It was great game that will be remember forever. Boise out coached Oklahoma in this game and this really jump-started them to becoming one of the top teams over the next decade.
@CollegeFootballLegends3 ай бұрын
@@jandbyoung1 Thank you I appreciate the feedback. 🙏 I agree, OU was outcoached but Boise's players their poise, discipline, and execution of the game plan was mind-blowing. Most teams in their position get overwhelmed of the moment and fizzle out, yet they showed up to that Fiesta Bowl ready to take it to the Sooners.

BSU was the only undefeated college team at the end of the regular season, and no one wanted to give them any kind of chance to win their bowl game. It was so sweet to watch that come from behind win! The success consistantly continued in the decades since.
@CollegeFootballLegends4 ай бұрын
That win did prove that Boise State belonged among the best teams in college football. Although Ohio State and Florida played for the BSC title it would have been hard pressed to leave out either one of those teams in favor of Boise. I really wish they had the playoff system back then. That would have removed all doubt.
