Bless you all!! I was 46 when my HSP was triggered! I had never had any symptoms of this before and nothing similar known in my family. I was bitten by many chiggers at same time and immediately started having mild symptoms. Which thought was just an allergic reaction to chiggars! 4 hours later i had severe vasculitis starting with ankle and feet swelling. I was out of town on a church ladies retreat. So, i decided to just take benadryl and put my feet up. This was a Friday. The next am was much worse! Just more rash and swelling! I made it through the retreat and actually drove home 2 hrs. Went to Church on Sunday and was in bed sick Monday..was stubborb and didnt go to hospital until tuesday at 5 am when hubby came home from work. I had been up vomiting and diahrea all night!!! It was a nightmare!!! The worst abdominal pains i had ever experienced and i gave birth naturally to 5 children! Anywsys went hospital and ended up having this and nephritis. I was at 9% i was in the hospital for over a month! Ended up in 2 different hospitals! I was blessed with many intelligent drs and huge hearts!!! They still care for me today!! I am now 54 years old! Yall hang in there!!!
