Fitness is an important aspect of martial arts, but what you see is legit. There's a KZbin channel named ''Wushu TV''. You can watch the Amateur Sanda World Championships there. You'll see those techniques executed against resisting oponents, over and over.

Cool techniques but first pull that off at an enemy. .... the better the opponent the less moves work

Everybody plz stop arguing on here geeze 1. After studying muay thai and muay boran and now Sanda....i see no difference because Sanda and Real Muay Thai and Muay boran look the same with throws and grappling so cut it out ppl 2 self defense and fighting is completely different 3. If you merge self defense with fighting then it becomes the Art Of Combat because ur fighting with self defence. Learn the difference
@freeworld888886 жыл бұрын
you are shit student then.
@bryanfong10235 жыл бұрын
muay baron? where the fuck did you study muay baron? in the middle of the thai jungle? muay baron is a dying martiak art and has been replaced by the more modern and aggresive muay thai. Sanda has more straight kicks and allows take downs (sweeps and takedowns are different things), while muay thai focuses on the clinch fight.

completely agree... now try and find great sanshou teaching outside of China or Toronto, Vancouver... I'm still looking.
@scarred1012 жыл бұрын
lad,kenpo teaches techs with no resistance that have littel chance of working under stress.Any art that does that isnt self defense despite spending all their time on supposed self defense techs.Ive had a lot of exposure to parkers kenpo over the yrs.The combat sports are far more effective in any environment than non fullconntact arts.

Se nota que no tienes lo que hay que tener para hacer estas cosas..

this is real fighting, not sparring.
@jokfly12 жыл бұрын
self defense and fighting are two entirely different things... Sanshou teaches fighting, kenpo is better at self defense.
@kffigther8213 жыл бұрын
Sanda is only the modality of the sports combat of wushu kung fu, in kung fu training you learn more self-defense techniques, kenpo was born from kung fu and kung fu has more defenses.

Pig shit, chinese kung fu is the closest thing to the real fights ever!!! It just that the TV of film kungfu popularised the flowery chreographed "masked rider" fight scened. And there are alot conman in this world that do what they do best, see early UFC...

Actually the takedowns at 145 and 3:15 were pretty skillful. The first was sasae tsurikomi ashi and second was uchi mata if you were doing Judo. The striking was pretty pointless, no pads = two people not hitting each other.
