Besides the speech program, I also once put together a training for 11-18 yr old kids based on the "How to Make Friends and Influence people" book by Dale Carnegie. Many children are awkward at that age and have difficulties making friends, getting part-time jobs, or interacting with adults in general. It really helped many of them and, dare I say? ... gave them tools to use for life :)

@@the-futureneers I put a message out to parents, to a certain extent word passed among the kids too because it was fun. Teenagers tend to like me as I am not "regular" lol

The video pauses every time I click on the...No wait... I've got it! but seriously, keep it coming, have you attempted to engage with schools yet? I see the business is set up now and have subscribed to contact from it, but are you planning on going to schools with an offering that can be refined, or do you want to evolve with a particular school? do you envisage using their facilities? Have you any idea how this will mobilise? Will this be a charity? Are you looking for volunteers? How do you want people to volunteer? I ask this publicly as I guess somebody else may want to know some of these things. I can feel the passion and I can see the ethos, but not the plan - yet.

Off the top of my head, there must be government funding for such schemes. I would expect that you would need to tick certain boxes to qualify - They may only be available in certain regions (Coastal regions tend to be areas that get additional support due to their catchment being reduced by the coastline), you may need certain qualifications in your ranks, current disclosure checks for people operating with you etc, approved materials etc. That would be my first step, for what its worth. Find the grants and funding and see what qualifies for it.

Good luck Jon! Love the plan - and love how you're going for it even without the 911 and the 7 figure retirement fund. The Victorian educational model was so, so flawed even before the internet arrived ... but now 25 years on it's laughable. Go for it and the best of luck!

I saw an earlier ted talk on this...I think I may have mentioned it to you when chatting. Not watched this one yet, but its more recent. If you haven't yet, check out the Khan academy, it could save re-inventing the wheel, and better it could be done in parallel with syllabus teaching.
