Sports injuries tend to be a part of life with boys. My nephew once broke his arm in three places playing basketball. Another kid accidentally tripped him. I hope your son heals soon.

Hello CJ! I love the update - I love updates over all 😀 Sorry to hear about your son's dislocated shoulder and having to make that unexpected doctor visit - glad he is doing good though! Again my friend your devotion to homeschooling through High School is so inspiring and encouraging ❤

Loved the chat. The applause and wohoo about the birthday made me giggle. 🤭 Would love a DITL video. We’re getting geared up to start the Guest Hollow’s Govt/Ecom. Really loving the looks of the books.

Sounds like it’s going great! Praying for your son. Sadly when a dislocation, especially twice, it tends to become a norm. Hopefully not.

I'm so sorry about your son's shoulder! That does not sound fun! I think the busyness tends to make me more efficient with our time. I noticed this year since we aren't involved in public school activities, we have a lot more time to get things done and it took a little while for me to figure out how to rein everyone in 🤣 And yes, Guest Hollow Govt/Econ/Pers Fin is a beast! I am having to remind myself that it isn't really one class, it is several. That kind of makes me feel a little better. Also - I am really bad at taking things out of the "feast" 🤦🏼♀ Sounds like you are having a great start to your year!

I am the same way with the “feast” so many awesome choices.

Such a cute video - LOL! I hope your son heals quickly - I imagine it's hard for him to sleep and rest comfortably. What is that link for Educate for Life? I think I may look into that for my 9th grader. Her older brother likes books on apologetics, but I think this may be something she would enjoy, as she prefers videos over books.

Hi & Thank You. They usually have promos on the lifetime membership. I would wait for that because it cuts it in 1/2. If I see one, I'll post it.🌻educateforlife.org/

Thank you so much for sharing this! My highschooler is in 10th grade and I've been putting off writing course descriptions because it seems overwhelming. But your video was so encouraging and I feel like I can do this now!!! Thank you for sharing your own examples. If a class (like Bible) is not graded does it need to be included in the transcript?

Sounds similar to a college syllabus. If for no other reason, creating such a document before starting the course would help you to stay on track to accomplishing the goals you have for what they are to learn from that course. Always best to have a written guide/plan for what you want to teach.

You do such a great job on your reviews! My only struggle as a Christian mom would be, I couldn’t teach my children from books about witchcraft😬. Harry Potter , The Witch of Blackbird Pond ect. I know most don’t see a problem with it. It just doesn’t align with my Christian values.😊
