I love the old 80s wrist rocket. Not sure of the name or company, but they were powerful. And only with tube bands. Today as I'm a bit older, I go with the flat bands. I really appreciate your video. Thanks

@@wrist-rockets I regretted not buying the orange Gem Clips back when I ordered my Falcon 2. That shipping cost from the USA is more expensive than the slingshot lmao! All the way to my country Malaysia, can't afford to buy again. You really care for your customers, it's rare to find a company who actually answers all questions thru email. And the only slingshot manufacturer who accepts the reality of flat bands from Tex-Shooter, and this slingshot is the result... Thanks for your service many years ago!
@wrist-rockets2 жыл бұрын
@@LKH9Channel That is frustrating and with shipping becoming so expensive it is hard for us to help from our end. Should you ever order a Wrist-Rocket again we will include the orange Gems no charge. Please cut and past this in the order notation field. We hope to have a new model out next year so stay tuned. Stay safe- Chuck

Chuck would you ever recommend using 303 Protectant on the bands to extend their life and protect them from UV rays?
@wrist-rockets2 жыл бұрын
Great question Vinny. Our Black Mamba and Stryker bands have built in UV protection so I wouldn't bother. The TNT are natural and are susceptible to UV but we have not tested UV protectants. I've always found my bands last about 1000 to 1500 rounds and generally UV deterioration has never been a problem. Chuck

I have this Falcon 2 Wristrocket, the best commercial slingshot ever made! The only downside is being bulky.
@wrist-rockets2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the kind comment. Yes it is a little bulky and that is one of the reasons we put the Falcon-X in a really neat case. That way one can carry the unit, extra bands and ammo. Shoot safe, honorably and well, Chuck
@vinnylivoti95672 жыл бұрын
Hi Chuck, Do you ever shoot 3/8 inch or 9.5 MM out of your slingshots?
@wrist-rockets2 жыл бұрын
Vinny- Some have successfully but I don't like to generally since small steel can damage the pouch. You can shoot clay very well even in 9.5mm but our 12mm clay is fantastic both for its accuracy and the larger clay really makes a great impact. As for steel I love shooting 44 cal steel. It has a nice flat trajectory if you set power is 65-70%. Shoot safe, honorably and well, Chuck

Falcon 2 it's the same of falcon x?
@wrist-rockets3 жыл бұрын
No, there are several differences. The Falcon 2 handle is much narrower, does not have as much lean angle and has no adjustable palm plate. The Falcon-X top bail is lower to the handle giving it more precise control and (I know this sound crazy) a sportier feel. Finally the Falcon-X has a tether for extra security since the ergonomics of the X is made to shoot with an archery style semi open hand. Bottom line is the Falcon 2 is considered a general purpose style and the Falcon-X is more precision or tournament style.

Well, that sucks because my pro x was delivered with the bands attached! Real talk though. With the statement he made am I to believe that my bands are compromised?
@wrist-rockets3 жыл бұрын
We currently attach the bands on the Pro-X since we want to demonstrate how the unit folds with the bands attached and also the correct band path. The bands are perfectly good since they are UV protected. FYI the optional TNT bands have no UV protection and should not be left in the sun. Chuck

I wish the 3-under tab came standard with the rubber instead of the felt. The felt fuzz is unpleasant at anchor.

So basically the same as a bow grip. No iron grip necessary, let the handle sit in the crook between the thumb and forefinger, makes sense. This prevents twisting by accident and misalignment which can derail a compound bow and hurt you and I would imagine even though derailing a slingshot is impossible, it will still throw off your accuracy and is dangerous.
@wrist-rockets3 жыл бұрын
Exactly.The new Falcon-X with its palm improves the shooter feel even more than the old Falcon-2. The patented and adjustable palm plate comfortably cradles the hand while providing an extra level of security when shooting with the open grip style.

With firearms ammo scarce I'm looking at a slingshot. Good vidio. I've seen some vidios where the shooter brings the pouch well behind the face for higher velocity. What are your thoughts? I think your way would be more accurate sighting.
@wrist-rockets3 жыл бұрын
We don't recommend pulling past the face. Though there are great shooters on both sides of this issue we feel the cheek anchor is the safest and generally the most accurate. Our bands and pouch are not designed for semi or full butterfly style shooting so do not use them that way. If you want more speed the alternative is to shoot with the Pro-X... kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWeThqGNd9ONa9U

Ahhhh very loud & annoying music.......
@Shootingstarcomics3 жыл бұрын
Great video, you have a good style of teaching and a smooth voice. You shouldn’t draw to your face in my opinion. Draw while pointing the slingshot down and then bring it to your face. If a band is going to break it will likely be during the draw and you don’t want to get slapped in the face by it, especially since you’re going to ignore this man and shoot without safety glasses.
@MrBilld753 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Fowler's Makery and Mischief, says that in a lot of his videos about slingshots. Always draw towards the ground first, then once you know the draw is safe, pull the slighshot up from the floor/ground. That way if anything snaps, or you lose grip or anything, you don't hurt yourself or others and always draw in a safe direction too, same as a firearm.
@wrist-rockets3 жыл бұрын
Drawing to the face is dangerous especially with a heavy compound bow and a mechanical release. A wild fire into the ground can also be dangerous so I still like aiming first then draw. As far as drawing to the face... drawing an inch off the face before settling into the anchor is a good practice. I appreciate the focus on safety. A lot of shooters still don't wear safety glasses I hope more shooters will encourage others to do so.

Must be nice to actually have the FREEDOM to do fun things like that. Sure wish we could here in New York. But ever since we became communist, we’re not allowed to enjoy those kind of freedoms anymore. Wrist rockets are illegal here in New York. Never used to be. But now, It’s literally a MISDEMEANOR!! Why?… Because it has a wrist strap. Yes, you heard it right...The WRIST STRAP somehow made it EVIL INCARNATE. Lived here all my life… Born and raised. But I really am starting to HATE our state with a passion!!

Gary- Thanks for asking. The Wing floats on your fingertips. We did this for two reasons. The first is that it allowed us to place the fulcrum point higher and further forward than conventional slingshots. The second is that, just as in archery, we wanted to minimize the input from the hand. By not gripping the handle you can focus more on your form and aiming. Yes it is strange for it to fly off the hand but most shooters like the unique experience and if you don't you can use your pinky finger to lightly hold the handle enough for it not to fly off. It is really your choice.
