I think it is needed as using it we can transfer the scenes between software. So if USD provides so much functionality it will become a norm to use it get things transferred between software.

It will be good if you can provide a resource or video in which someone covers color management in 3ds max from start of importing images to end of rendering and saving images. And detail of what different color profiles means. Especially the linear sRGB, sRGB, Raw

Is there a simple way to do index but as a float value? E.g. 1.0, 1.1, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0. You can do it by animating weights but you need to be careful to always inverse the weights and only ever have 2 weights active. Something controllable with a script controller but seems like something that should be possible natively.

Index is mode is just switcher I'm not sure how it can be a float? But, with your power, I'm sure you can do script controller. :)

I used Tension Deform in DCM and bake the result in uv.

Thank you, Data Channel modifier is seriously underrated and little known. I hope Volume Select gets more love - expanded feature set and improved performance, it works well with DC.

Hi. I tried to use the "Selection Pivot" on an edge of a skewed cube (all vertices are randomly transformed) by pressing ALT+SHIFT+S and it seems to not work properly for me in max 2024 and 2025. The pivot won't align perfectly to the selected edge unfortunately. So I am still using the basachi script which adjusts the pivot properly. Do you know if that's a bug?

The files are in ENU folder. If you update, the folder will not be generated. Rename your ENU folder and get the files from this folder and copy to the original ENU folder and rename back C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2025 - 64bit\ENU\en-US\plugcfg\DataChannelPresets

The essence of the problem is that if I am in the "Editable Poly" mode when editing, for example, vertices, and I have several vertices selected, then it zooms along the selection of these vertices perfectly (selected vertices fill the entire screen). But if I deselect the vertices (no vertices are selected, but I am still in the mode of editing the vertices of this object), then the zoom on the selected object does not work on the selected object, but on the entire scene. In earlier versions of Max, if the vertices of an object are selected, it zooms over them; if the vertices are not selected, it zooms over the specifically selected object, and not the entire scene. This is super great! How I wished 3ds max has plugin that is as flexible and creative as Tissue Addon of Blender which works not only with quads but N-gons
