Very lovely mix. But I did miss the "David Gilmour style" guitar lead in the middle of the original version. Thanks to the poster for leaving this version. 😃

This is from "Heaven And Hell"(1975), parts of which were used in the "Cosmos" series on PBS.

Yes, but this is a completely different arrangement than the version on Heaven and Hell. Jon Anderson re recorded this for an episode of The Young and the Restless.

Was at the Royal Albert Hall many years ago when Jon sang this with Vangelis from his Heaven and Hell album. Absolutely fantastic concert, so fondly remembered. Introduced by Alan Freeman wearing a monks habit !!

Numa entrevista cedida a um programa de TV no Qatar, Vangelis disse que fazia música para a música ( e não mercadoria para gravadora vender), inclusive, há uma "biografia" dele que fala de rachas com a indústria fonográfica que ele teria mantido, Essa "tal de Jéssica" por exemplo deve ser uma das causas das brigas:

Heaven and Hell is flawed as there is too much going on.Vangelis I'd at his best like this.His Paris recordings are quite stark and far preferable.

Em 1986, a dupla fez algumas tentativas de escrever um novo álbum, mas muito desse trabalho nunca foi lançado oficialmente sob o nome de Jon e Vangelis. Doze faixas foram compiladas no Page of Life de 1991, enquanto outras canções, como essa, não apareceram em trabalhos posteriores,

Jon Anderson had the voice of an angel. Saw the band Yes many times. Rick Wakeman was also a musical genius.

Beautiful version. The original takes me to heaven in its middle which is missing here. I wonder if that is Wakeman on keyboards. A mini Yes reunion?

Jon Anderson was a singer's singer. Fan since the first album. Saw Yes, many times. Rick Wakeman was a phenomenal musician.
