Looks like I’m a year late to this video. Guessing you have already figured out any of the useful tips I could give you. Ammo,speed,tuning,ect. Looks like you’re enjoying the gun that’s all that matters! If you decide to get deeper into the world of pcp, this is my product recommendation. Gun- Vulcan 3 .30 caliber 700mm barrel Ammo- .3063 diameter dish base slugs 950fps Scope- arken optics EP-5 or better yet, arken ZULUS 5-20 daylight scope. Compressor- GX-cs4 Not a cheap list lol… but, pretty much guaranteed sub Moa out to 200 yards. Cheers from Oregon 🍻👍

i always enjoy 22lr videos, this one too, thank you. since your tight groups were consistently low-left, clamped or freehand, i think ammo and grip need to be considered. in addition the 4.63” or 3.75” ruger wrangler is truly just a fixed sight plinker. if you want better accuracy try a 5.5” ruger single six or super wrangler with adjustable sights. a practiced, accurate, reliable 22lr/wmr firearm in hand that gives one consistently multiple center mass hits is certainly ok for protection for normal folks. 22lr is easy, cheap and fun to shoot alot, and i mean alot. practice makes perfect. centerfire handgun ammo lacks homing devices and proximity fuses. hits with rimfire matter, near-misses with centerfire count for zero. if you are out in apex predator quadraped turf have a centerfire long- or shotgun with a rimfire sidearm. if you are normal civilian you shouldn’t be rubbing up against apex predator bipeds in a sensible & prudent, daily suburban life. if you really need to worry about “a home invasion by four meth-heads” then your relationship, lifestyle and financial choices are an awful mess; you have bigger worries than your firearm choice.

They work. The screw holding the ejection rod cover comes loose and needs blue loctite. The finish scratches easily The cylinder gap could be tighter. The fit of the grips is so so. That safety. Some come with front sights that are not aligned to point of impact. Mine came with a dinged 22WMR cylinder. I called Heritage and had a new one withing a week. It has been reliable for the first 2,500 rounds, all makes of ammo. They are again making 38 special SA/DA revolvers.

Nice job. I appreciate it when someone close to my skill level, displays a product’s true potential. I’m very impressed with Gamo’s entire magnum line these days. They clearly stepped up their game. All that performance guaranteed for 5 years; wow. Best value in buying a magnum springer. I would also call this .22 the most tactical springer you could have available in a home invasion. With a few mags, preloaded with H&N Hornets, you don’t have to worry about running out of air. Hatsan has their version of a magnum gas piston springer, with a reputation for failing within 2-3 years; for the same price. That’s a no brainer to me. I’m getting the Magnum Pro in both calibers and the .25 gas piston magnum in the wood stock. I already got the .25 magnum w/ a spring piston. What a beast. Ordered it with some Hornets for maximum lethality. Can go through a propane tank at 40 yards; 33 f.p.e. and a 5 year warranty. What more do you want for $330?

Tell me a little more. What was horrible? Bad groups? Recoil etc? I know this gun likes heavier pellets and groups better with those. The Swarm Magnum also has a powerful mach 1 piston that slams forward when fired and recoil may take a little getting used to. But goes without saying not everyone will have the same experience. This gun is new to me... the only shots I took before making this video were to sight it in. Having said that... I was pretty happy with the feel and accuracy.

I wanted to ask you about something I just noticed at 3:18 and again at 3:25 while you were dry firing with the safety block on. Watch closely, and you will see that the cylinder rotated 1/8" off line from the barrel both times that the hammer fell. It clearly did not do this during your firing segment that followed. These revolvers seem to have a cylinder stop malfunction when dropping the hammer on the safety bar. I t doesn't appear to repeat itself when live-firing, but I thought I should at least make mention of it. I have 3 of these .22 Heritage revolvers, myself, and I have been able to duplicate this malfunction with mine as well. It does not do this when dropping on a cartridge ( I dry-fire with expended shells), but consistently jumps off the cylinder stop when the hammer hits the safety bar. I find this anomaly a little bit disconcerting, but doesn't interfere with proper chamber alignment on the following full-cock. I will tell you that I also did have a cylinder-stop malfunction in my brand new Heritage Big-Bore .357. It could slip backward about 1/32" at times, after engaging full-cock. I did not notice this until the 8th round I fired, when it shaved off a piece of the copper jacket of a .357 round, and it jammed in the cylinder-barrel gap. I discovered, later in my workshop, that the cylinder stop was just 1/64" wider than the notches in the cylinder itself, which allowed the slight backward drift of the cylinder. I had to reshape the cylinder stop to properly fit the cylinder notches, and now the action locks smoothly and firmly in each notch. The cylinder could have moved even more when it did malfunction, causing much more damage than it did! I just wanted to share this in case it saves you, or someone else, any damage or injury. Cheers!
@northdakotaplinking9794
@northdakotaplinking9794 2 ай бұрын
As for the Heritage .22, the trigger, hammer/ hammer spring is what initiates the movement of the cylinder. If the hammer is not allowed to travel to its final destination, then neither will the cylinder. So it's not really a malfunction. Just the nature of the hammer block safety. But that is interesting about the .357 and cylinder stop...
@gravesclayton3604
@gravesclayton3604 2 ай бұрын
@@northdakotaplinking9794 I know, I suppose I should just call it an 'anomaly' for this particular safety-bar design. I've had all of my firearms apart at one time or another, if just to polish up the rough spots that get missed during assembly. The .357 cylinder stop issue caught me off guard for certain. I had friend recently buy one, and that was the 1st thing I checked with his, before he even got it home, lol! His appeared to work perfectly in every regard, so maybe it was just my luck to have a glitchy one. I built my first revolver kit when I was 15. S&W DA revolvers seem to be the best out of the box, but are so damned expensive now.
