The verse melodies aren't *exactly* the same, but if the songs were in the same key and were made to line up as best they could, when they weren't the same then at least they would harmonize! In other words, either way they at least wouldn't sound dissonant.

I'm in the City Boy Fan Facebook group, love all the posts in there about the history of the group and photos and such. Very privileged to have a long time question of mine answered by Slamer via his Wife's account. I just got my degree in Film from UCF! Funny to see the connection there too. Anyway, this interview is insane and my envy is immeasurable. I would do anything to sit and talk to Mike Slamer. He is my all time favorite guitarist and just an all around amazing musician. If you ever get to talk to him again you should see if he would be willing to release the song he did for the film White Water Summer, if he even has the ability to do so. Roy Ward did vocals on that track too!

I just hit 51K miles on my '22 AWD and my three biggest complaints: I have a lot of nicks, dents, scuffs, cosmetic issues on my Area 51. I have pin sized dent on the tailgate, somebody lightly keyed my passenger quarter panel, cracked wind shield and scuffed driver side bumper and tailgate. The front bumper and hood have nicks and such. I do a lot of highway driving in south Florida to commute. None of these were my doing except I guess the windshield. Happened on a commute. It sucks when the new car starts receiving it's real world bumps and bruises. Second complaint is the amount of recalls. I think I have 6 or 7 and the dealerships are overwhelmed with services. I'm going to have to figure out which ones can be done mobile and the others that leave my truck at the dealer...where they have no loaners and my daily commute is just over 80 miles a day Monday through Friday. Third complaint is my moonroof is shot. It's not leaking or anything but it grinds and gets stuck. Basically can't use it for fear it gets stuck open. Other than that, mechanically it's been fine thus far. Only have put new tires on, changed the batter though I'm a little wary of the axels CVS as when I turn at low speeds I hear a groan. Not sure if that's an indicator of things to come. I've seen on the Maverick Truck Club it's an unofficial issue =/

Yeah mine has been banged up a bit as well. But it’s a truck! That’s how it is supposed to look. Other than dings and dents (some my fault, some not), it’s been a pretty solid vehicle.

Another difference between the UK and the US is the existence of the concept of performance royalties in the former which entitles session musicians to not only their initial fee but also a percentage of the profits from all sales (physical or otherwise) of the particular piece of music.
@Mark_Williams3009 күн бұрын
The UK has its own performing rights organisations. PRS, MCPS (now all one company) and the PPL. The Beatles would have been registered with all of those organisations, depending on the nature of the copyright, in the UK.

OP, I think you are vastly overestimating how prevalent generative AI music is in the commercial market place. Its almost non existent, and is concentrated more than anything else, in independently developed video games, low budget tv/movies, and background music for videos/podcasts. To my knowledge, there are not many instances of mainstream/chart topping artists climbing to success by using text to music generative AI software. It just isnt the issue that the media is making it out to be yet. The big players will always dominate, cause whatever normal consumers have access to, the record label industry is going to be tapping into the business of culture engineering, social campaigns and marketing schemes. Which is actually highlighted in this legal case, cause despite having generated all these songs, he still had to stream them himself in order to get a high payout, and they eventually detected the fraudulent activity, and hes gonna pay hard. I doubt there are too many operations like this happening within western countries. Corporations put a lot of money into detecting people who are ripping them off.

It’s an interesting case, and maybe the first I’ve heard of involving AI music and this level of fraudulent activity, but it certainly won’t be the last.
