My interpretation of 3:42 is that he talking about his failed relationship with Sherane in GKMC. “At first I did love you, now just wanna fuck”, “Late nights thinking of you, until I got my nut“, “My first Girlfriend”, and “Destroyed, but what for?” at least to me, seem to be lines pointing to what happened on Master Splinter’s Daughter - especially because Kendrick says “Family history of gangbanging made me skeptical, but not enough to stop me from getting a nut”, which could be the inspiration for the “Nut” line I mentioned earlier. I think my explanation only applies to the first chorus, as the second chorus is your explanation (because of the Dre call, I feel this links it to the Music Industry), and the third verse is about Kendrick’s relationship with America- as the verse before the third chorus is about Uncle Sam’s manipulation and Racism, and this bleeds into For Free.

I understand your criticism of the game instructor, but i think you miss the fact that it works as a accessibility feature. The text pointing out some obvious things can be annoying if you have perfect hearing, but it might be what makes the game playable to deaf players or, players with bad hearing. Same with the icon popups and outlines for players with weak eyesight.

Always fascinating to me that Kafka is so littly discussed when it comes to this movie. Like the whole Olive plotline is just like a literal Kafka story, completely absurd, alienation of your family, classic kafkaesque bureacracy (both when trying to talk to the receptionist in germany, but another similar moment is when he's discussing his leg shaking being dangerous with the doctor), and I wonder if there is just quite little overlap between movie watchers and book readers? Like The Castle is literally discussed in the movie (an unfinshed novel btw whose author died before finishing it). A lot of this movie I think is just Kaufman playing with themes from others, also Jung with the dreams, the subconcious and anima.

Is it just me or would this game go up at least half a star in quality if you had to use camo, equipment, food, and medicine in real time? It feels like a lot of the mechanics only make sense in the alternate version of the game where you could only adjust your condition in safety, as it is the whole "survival" element of the game just feels confused.

17:38 this is the HD revision, it looks on par with xbox 360 graphics, being released in 2012... those of us who were actually alive during the ps2 era can confirm the game probably didnt have this amount of "clarity" on launch, especially on old CRTs. One way you can tell you're playing a PS2 game is if all of the lines that are supposed to be straight are extremely jagged looking.... that's not happening in this video simultaneously it kind if baffles me that someone would review the HD remaster and think thats what the original looked like 😂😂😂 Dont get me wrong, the jump from ps1-ps2 was insaaanely impressive. Especially at the end of the ps2s life, people sometimes forget you could still buy a ps2 while the ps4 launched, and there was a reason for that, but games still didnt have this amount of polish. It would be one thing if you were reviewing the og game on og hardware but this is probably played on your pc.... in 2024.... dummy ofc the game is going to look better
