Yep, this is real Rock/pop rock/rhythm and blues. These guys have been performing with each other for so long at this time their sound was amazing. Huey put everything he had into each word sung. Tremendous saxes, guitars and so on. I have never seen a bass player play with a thumb pick. I have watched scores of bass players, this is a first for me. Always appreciated Huey Lewis and the News music. Groups like this playing in venues like this are essentially gone now. I'm 79 add used to play in venues like this, a lot were smaller. Thank you very much for the video, and I wish only the best for Huey.

Wow. Um. Huey Lewis and the News is my favorite band of all time. However, this live version was awful. Sean's keyboard overpowered the beginning. Then someone I guess forgot to plug in Sean's microphone. Then the bad falsettos at the end...I had to turn it off. They are the best live band ever...just not this time.

This was a band that played and recorded their own music. No studio musicians. No autotune. This is what real music is about.

It's mind-boggling that this San Francisco no longer exists...and it WAS amazing. But you get what you vote for. Creative culture is not only an indicator of a healthy society and hallmark of civilization it also requires the maintenance of all the other components of community in order to thrive. The worst people in California are running California and doing so with the absolute goal of managed decline. The entire state is a disaster from crime to homelessness to drugs and disease and the cost of living and corruption and malfeasant misappropriation of funds being allocated to not only millions of people who aren't even citizens, but to everything BUT the health and welfare of the citizens. You can't have it both ways. So instead? You get shit. Literally. Everywhere. The ruination of this once amazing state is one of the greatest crimes in history...and unfortunately, the entire country is headed in the same direction. This WAS San Francisco. No more. It is a dying corpse. If you visit make sure to throw your shoes away after you walk the streets to see it for yourself, because the filth and bacteria quite literally can make you very ill. As for Huey...he and the band and all the rest of the scene up there was incredible and priceless and worth preserving...if comparison between then and now isn't a compelling enough argument to stand as a lesson, then you may be assured that such halcyon days will never return. But man...make no mistake...it was GREAT 🤘
