I’m a 46 year old white guy. I grew during the incredible golden era. Started listening to the gods about 88-Rakim, Kane, PE, etc all the way the through 90s and 2000s. I’m currently separated from my wife and kids and staying with my parents. I am helping renovate a family property over the past 3-4 months. After work, I change, hit the property and throw on one these mixes. It passed the time greatly. It gives me great nostalgia thinking about these songs, where or how old I was when I was listening to them, thinking of the many people I knew that have passed during the course of the past 30 years that I shared these songs with. Oddly, I thought I knew all the hip hop back then, I usually find something I’ve never heard before on here too. Thank you whomever you are bro for posting

@@PhatTape love these mix tapes. I’m a 46 white guy-listened to hip hop religiously from about 88 until the 2000s. Yours and another channel I often listen too. I’m renovating a property of mine so every evening I’m there. I throw on one the mix tapes-88, 91, 93 or whatever and get to work. Takes me immediately back to growing up and listening to all these artists/songs. Keep ‘em coming.
