Could you pack a deer out with this pack do you think? I got the pack last year but have been thinking more about what I’ll need when I actually have to bring one out, and I don’t necessarily have the money for a frame pack rn.

@@joeroyle8711 no I don’t think you could. I would suggest looking at the Sumpter Pack from Trophyline. It is a frame pack but a small one. Like it is made to pack out deer and antelope.

Do you find that the pin brightness is sufficient? Some have mentioned CBE pins are dim.
@primetime_addiction
@primetime_addiction 27 күн бұрын
No I don’t and that shouldn’t be much of as issues because it has a sliding sun shade on top of the sight that you can adjust how much light is getting to the pins so if you think they are dim or tough to see then you can adjust the slide on top to allow more light to enter.

I’m definitely no pro, but if you already had your back tight when pushing and pulling, then you would be able to pull through your shot without your front arm moving so much. It sounds like you’re trying to hold your front arm straight, instead of pushing it towards the target.

I was in the same boat a few months ago! Went down the rabbit hole about having a surprise release. Went with the UV button and found that if I pull too hard without any hand movement the bow will be unsteady due to my left arm moving all around. Figured out I was doing it wrong. I get my thumb deep on the button and then I start “pulling” which is really just relaxing my hand while I pull back, this takes a lot of the pressure off the bow and allows your hands to stretch back and activate the trigger as a surprise. Takes a bit of practice but it’s very repeatable. Just keep the same speed while pulling back. Joel turner says find a good speed and put in cruise control until it breaks. Hope this helps!

The bow arm fling left. This is why, back in my day, we bent our bow arm, and during the shot we pushed towards the target, so upon the release going off, the release had came back to our shoulder and the bow was pushed straight at the target. You cannot do this with a stiff straightened out bow arm. Everyone teaches it backwards today. Other than a target recurve, the bow arm should be slightly bent, meaning you need to shorten up your draw length to make that happen.
@pickin4you

Here’s what I do. I used to shoot a 2 finger Stan back tension in competition. That cures be from every punching a release again. I did hate the holding forever for the release to go off. Here is what I do now. I have 3 finger thumb button. Once at anchor I wrap my thumb around the shank that knurled know used to be on. I then start to bring my pinky and thumb together. They never come together but this makes it a surprise release and using a thumb button. You can even use a 4 finger release but just set your pinky behind the release, and one set on target, just think.... bring my pinky and thumb together and that release will go off and surprise you every time.
