Does the IRO truss have you weld to the cast pumpkin? What welder/wire did you use? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing. looks good. Did you run a different pump too, like the 2001-2004 v8 WJ?

Did you have to modify your bumper brackets to get your bumper to fit with the barnes stiffeners?

I’m currently doing one of these and it’s hard to explain to anyone just how awful that drive side is to clean up

Well done on the one ton swap. I'm about to begin doing the same swap on my XJ. Triangulated 4 link front and rear. Gonna be doing coilovers in the rear, but I will be keeping the coil springs in the front. How did you mount your shocks? Looks like you added a new mounting bracket. Did you fab your upper shock mounts inside the fenders?

Is this the regular style bracket or the 1 inch drop bracket?

I have a very similar build, I have rubicon 44s instead of 1 tons, IRO 3 link in front with 4 link in back. I’m running 35”s currently with 6” lift. Could go on and on with similarities. I had a problem throwing the back springs and not getting much down pressure with IRO springs in droop. Hit me up if your interested in problems I had and fixes.

I'd suggest running an aftermarket coolant temp gauge too, the stock one isn't very precise and you can actually catch it before it overheats if you have a problem otherwise the stock gauge might not show it as quickly. If your putting a temp gauge on the aw4 transmission, instead of tapping into the pan or inline on the cooler hose I'd suggest using the unused port in front of the output cooler line there's a large torx plug that you remove then you can use autometer adapter part# 2267 that will thread into the hole and give you a 1/8npt thread for your temp sensor. If you don't want to use the autometer adapter, the thread pitch of that hole is m14x1.5 if you want to find a different adapter.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into that.

Do you think the way you set the ram up that having the cylinder moving instead of the rod would cause issues. Like the hoses and fittings having to move with every turn of the wheel?
@xjobsession65772 жыл бұрын
That’s a good point. I didn’t think of that. I will switch that around to eliminate any unnecessary hoses moving around! I still need to install the cooler so I’ll make that change when I do the cooler.

Yes it does. Barnes has three separate kits for the front, middle and rear.
