Unless you were watching in the Eastern or Central Time Zones, or over KSL-TV 5 in Salt Lake City, that "LIVE" bug is fraudulent. It was shown on tape delay in the west.

20:45 Disney's One Saturday Morning was pushed back by the network until the following weekend due to ABC News' special coverage of Princess Diana's funeral earlier in the day. Also the debut weekend of 1 Sat Morning aired an hour early or so (depending where you lived, for example The New Adventures of Winnie of Pooh aired specially at 10:30am ET instead of 12pm) because of ABC Sports' coverage of college football later in the day at noon.

These commercials aired 2 weeks after Mother's Day 1994. It was 25 days after my 16th birthday. It was near the end of my freshman year (1993-94). I like the classic Burger King commercials, but I love the double whopper value meals. I remember the French's mustard commercial. The mentioned condiment came in the round, fancy squeeze bottles. I remember the Sears commercial whose slogan was this: "Come See the Softer Side of Sears". I remember "Me & the Boys", starring Steve Harvey. I remember Margaret Cho, but I forgot about "All American Girl". Those sitcoms aired on ABC during my sophomore year (1994-95). I recorded "The 21st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards", starring Susan Lucci from "All My Children". I forgot about the drama series called "So Called Life".

I knew there was a Movie Special on one Thursday in my life before 20/20-- I had originally thought that the full opening would be played again, but now I know it was just the back half of the opening, ending in the title card marquee formation again.

EDIT: By the way, in case you’re wondering, Mike Fahey won the mayoral election that night. Hal Daub was widely expected to win, but Fahey came from behind and pulled off an upset.

I already archived all of the tapes from this Dayton collection, so everything I had or will have is uploaded. Unfortunately, there wasn't much 2000s WDTN programming in there. I do have a playlist containing all of the WDTN tapes though.

HBO Family felt so far removed from the other HBO networks, that it felt like Cinemax. They didn't even have the HBO original programming logo (good). HBO Family was popular.
