anyone who is very fgamiliar with all (or most) Lee Konitz's stuff, please introduce me to something that would have simular mood to his saxophone on this album... like Terrace Place, or even the little bit he played just on the start of this video, very simple but melancholic, kind of ''childish'' way of putting notes together... thanks!

you might like the kenny wheeler album angel song- a bit darker and more harmonically dense than this but beautiful playing by bill and lee.

I fully agree with this recommendation. One which is of the same quality and mood (even its a live record), but not Lee Konitz, is the record 'Power Of Three' featuring Wayne Shorter, Michel Petrucciani and Jim Hall. Maybe you will like it DarkPastelRed, if you ever read my comment. Its one of my favorite records.

priceless! But I would have felt terrible if I were Jakob hearing a legend saying that, after all the shit he (Jakob) probably had to set up for the recording... :-) Thank God Paul could bring everyone together... from any point of view...

I love doing that too BUT... But what!? Moving a few mics would have take 10 minutes, maybe 5 ... I agree with Lee Konitz... I feel compassion with Jakob Bro tough. I can feel the vibe somehow... It's not easy to put a band together and having the best condition to get the most out of the written music and the synergy of the team. Humility is important. I like all the musicians in that room, I mean in these rooms! Frisell and Bro seems to be very humble persons, you can hear it when they play!
