Do patients have access to their medical records and treatment details? And are bills provided for every payment? Recently I went to one hospital called ahalya nursing home, Guntur. I sat on the bench waiting for doctor appointment. One patient opened her medical records or file and tried to take pictures of her record. One nurse came and dragged the file from patients hand and said don’t look into the file. Nurse is following the patient to make sure she don’t open and look at her medical record. One patient purchased medication from in store pharmacy. Nurse took back the file and left. I asked the patient and she said, they don’t allow patients to look into their own medical record and said they only accept cash and didn’t give even single bill. I was shocked and left the hospital without meeting the doctor.
