May I please ask a question? Please? I'm not being disrespectful. I need to know because I might be faced with this question. I want to know if a MOBILE Alzheimers person still know when they need a toilet. I understand that immobile (bed patient) might be on adult diapers.

Since 1958 I have been a fan of TE and his double sided hit with It is All in the Game. I was doing a tour of duty in Korea and after some songs that were silly on the pop music list his record was a breath of fresh air and the guy in my favorite bar understood it was a fav and when I came in that was the next record played. Damn but the memories are still so vivid. Where ever you are Miss Lee, I hope it is a better place and you had a better life.

I always (like most others in 1958) very much enjoyed "It's All In The Game" recorded by Tommy Edwards. I didn't know that Tommy had recorded it earlier. But for most of 1958 I was 9 years old & turned 10 in September of 1958. Thank you for the documentary of Tommy Edwards. What wonderful, outstanding and a Silky smooth voice he had.

my first hope would be doctors checking for severe B12 deficiencies-pernicious anemia, which I have, can lead to dementia and Alzheimer's. Not always the case, but if it is the case, many cases could be prevented with a simple monthly or so shot of methycobalamin (B12). Sounds simple, and it is. Check out Sally Pachalok's book, "Could it be B12," It is certainly worth checking into. I know from personal experience, as do many others, Unfortunately doctors don't check this often enough.

The story about the man who fell and wasn't found for over an hour. When you live on assisted living, you have to be able to cope pretty much on your own with some care but not babysitter. Saying he didn't get taken care of properly isn't a fair statement. Residents have ways of reaching out for help if they are injured etc. Maybe he want cognitive enough to understand. Sorry for your families loss

This is an excellent documentary of Tommy' career and life. It was wonderful to see a few of Tommy's family members included. Bravo Donald Gunter for all the work you did to ensure that Tommy was properly honored and remembered. It's All In The Game stands at #38 on Billboard's all-time highest charting hits. That is impressive! Thank you for putting this together.

This is Earth-shattering, groundbreaking and breathtaking. Next week we're moving my mom into memory care. I'm going to challenge my sister to watch this video and NOT be inspired to volunteer to implement some of this stuff in my mom's new place. I myself can hardly wait to help with sing-alongs, gardening and now, even want to get to know the other residents. Thank you to everyone who has thought of something unique for are beloved persons with dementia.

your not taught this in america or most places or on tv but almost all health issues are casued by nutrition deficiencies and are easy to fix within a week. Nutrition ivs and nutrition injections supper effective in healing reversing health issues. you heal reverse dementia/altimers by myers cocktail iv and b12 injections. you get dementia/altimers because of b12 deficiencies. for example japan has the lowest rate of dementia/altimers because they health care system make sure there citizens get enough b12. You check your nutrition levels with thourough nutrition blood tests only functional medicine mds will do that and they know optimal levels not reg providers. anybody with health issues the root main cause is nutrition deficiencies. mental health issues, headache issues sleep issues balance issues the list goes on and on and its becasues of nutriton deficeinces. myers cocktail iv, vitamin d injection b12 injection, gludathione iv coq10 injections will heal and keep you at optimal health year round thats what pro althetes and rich people do year round. just type in google nutrition iv therapy near me. go get them done and start healing quick nutrition ivs and injections have been around since 1950's its a hidden secret casue there super effective and cure.

There is medication to STOP the progression. My mom is on it and it's working. My mon takes Memantine 10mg and Donepezil 10mg - Doctor told us it will delay the progression for 20 years and 4 years after my mom was diagnosed she's just about the same. Some days are slower than others but she'll happy

Alzheimer’s Support group is phenomenal. I’ve been on this journey with mom for 5 1/2 years and have never been so physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted in my life. The more educated I’ve become the more able I am to be strong and patient with her. If she can go through this heartbreaking disease so full of fear, frustration and anger then I can be strong enough to go through it with her. Sometimes you have to go to the bathroom, cry your eyes out, say a prayer and take a deep breath and know that even though their brain and memories die a little each day, the love you’ve always known is still deep inside. They’re afraid, very afraid 💔

This is indeed a very horrible disease, but God is even greater and stronger than any disease, even dementia. When someone with dementia gets aggressive with a loved one who cares for them, I’d think of it this way; it’s when the dementia side comes out, but the person doesn’t mean it, it’s the cruel disease’s fault.
