SAW THE SAME ILLUSION PERFORMED BY A MAGICIAN AROUND 1960, AT ERSTWHILE SUPPLY BUS STAND ON SHAHJAHAN ROAD, NEW DELHI. ALSO HEARD SOUNDS OF BODY PARTS OF THE JAMOORA FALLING DOWN FROM THE HIGH ROPE. FURTHER, THERE WAS NO CRANE AT ALL. THE POOR MAGICIAN COULD NEVER AFFORD TO RENT IT FROM HIS MEAGRE EARNING OF FEW COINS. CONCLUSION : IT WAS WHAT IS LOCALLY CALLED '"ANKH BANDHANA" I.E. HYPNOTISM.

The tip of the rope looks like it is fix doesnt move while the mid and bottom just wave a bit. For sure there is something holding or whatever at the tip of the rope

If you look closely at David (Mr. Copperfield)'s belt, you can see the lines on it.

This is actually the second time that David (Mr. Copperfield) has been cut in half. The first time is the death saw illusion, which he did during his special with the Bermuda Triangle.

After David (Mr. Copperfield) had separated the top half of his body from the bottom half of his body, he should have passed a hand over the bottom half of his body to show the audience that there's no wires or anything.

David (Mr. Copperfield) bought the rights to the Steve Fearson illusion and re-titled it the laser illusion because of the fact that a laser beam (which he points at himself with the help of his two assistants) cuts him in half.

This is loosely based on Steve Fearson's illusion where he separates his torso from his pelvis and lowers the top half of his body into a chair, while his legs remain standing up.
