Still the server maybe could've anticipated and bunted the ball back if it was Agassi or Djokovic.

Pretty high-risk return but at 0-40 other guy serving....why not ? James would still have 2 more chances.

Reminds me of Djokovic's return against Federer in the 2010 USO semi down 2 match points returning !

I remember this; CBS barely mentioned that Mats was the defending champ and former #1 with 7 GS titles; American media never did Mats justice! But yes, this was also the breakthrough for Pistol Pete. This was a close match and CBS highlight show treated it like it was a 6-1 6-1 6-1 drubbing.

One of the many big matches of his career that Fed should have won. Played very poorly strategically. You don't go all-out attack vs Djoker on a slower court. Also, Djoker played awesome, his plays in neutralizing the SABR in particular were pure genius

Of course it's a rally It looks like a Chris Evert/Navratilova point 40 years ago.
@KnowTrentTimoy5 сағат бұрын
Not really. The Evert/Navratilova era played tennis a bit slower than this rally between Clijsters and Wozniacki.

Love watching these old matches. But the most annoying part was the non stop commentary in the background. It was very unpleasant. They did not stop talking….not even while the point was being played

hingis won 1999 australian open. she dished stefi as too old and will never win another grandslam. 1999 french open, stefi beat hingis and hingis never won another singles grandslam thereafter. 😊
