WOW! John Rushton, I've been looking for you. I had the privilege of hearing you preach in Saint George's Tron when Sinclair Ferguson was Pastor there. My name is Joy Knowles I was living in Scotland at the time. I had moved there from The Bahamas, was married in Northern Ireland, and had my son while there in Scotland. I never forgot your awesome teachings, with the most amazing personal stories of your life always added to a lesson or sermon. Thank you so much for those amazing sermons and life teachings, to God be the glory!

Bishops serve for about 5 years max in the Mormon church. Not sure about his claim of serving for 30 years.
@Jsppydays8 ай бұрын
Is it not true that once you are ordained to Bishop serve as a bishop you are always a bishop? My grandfather served three terms in a bishop position. Even after his release he was still considered a bishop. He did not serve any higher position but always considered a Bishop. Think once a patriarch is the same. Unless you're called higher calling. Unless the doctrine or rules have changed. But why is this an issue for you? Judging? Titus 3:5-7 King James Version 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

I think Joseph misinterpreted many things in the bible. The scripture is very clear, no apologist can deny the meaning.

George Stewart is definitely wrong when he talks about the church saying that works are the most important thing. that is definitely not the truth. For a man who had been in the church as long as he had should have known better. As a member for 40 years I can say that I definitely know that we are saved by grace however it is important that if we have faith then we should have the desire to do the work.
@dgorski82332 жыл бұрын
The Mormons are taught faith by works. I was Mormon as well and Mr. Stewart is correct. You are lying to protect a religion. We are saved by grace not by works. Read the New Testament. It’s the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lee Mckormack : No you prevaricate! “Jesus was efficacious to salvation “ ? Read your 3rd article of faith - works is ALWAYS mentioned, it is part of the deal which is just not true! Faith alone saves , not faith works as is touted- also a former member

George Stewart is either misinformed or told a lie when he said that the church does not teach about the savior's death and Resurrection that is a falsehood the church definitely teaches about the savior's death and Resurrection that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This part about Joseph Smith having an affair there's no proof of that whatsoever. Church's like cornerstone love to get a hold of these guys and have them tell their story unfortunately his story is false.

No - you are picking out the party line. No proof? As elder Urtdorf says doubt your doubts! - rather investigate - truth should stand up to scrutiny

Love the Lord your God. Let your top priority be God in everything. When you love God first, then everything else you do will proceed from God's love. It is easy to make an idol out of other things and people if we do not have our priorities right. Love God first and above all.

Enjoyed this service so much. I was on KZbin and I saw an interview with a former Mormon bishop and found it fascinating. I subscribed. I didn’t know I got a church service too! Music was quite a blessing.
