They could have hired people who have no experience playing an instrument and delivered a more authentic performance.

Daevid Allen's album "Bananamoon," the track "Stoned Innocent Frankenstein," the very last ending riff sounds like "My pal's name is Foot.." mind you I'm tone deaf so I could be wrong. Wonder if he ever heard this lot?

Bands like Creed, Nickelback, Staind, Oasis, Five For Fighting, and Third Eye Blind were inspired by this group, and that's why these bands sound the way they did.

Were the Shaggs the precursors to the Ramones? Played a little louder and faster and I could see Joey up there now.

Although people are viewing the original band as an oddity , the truth is the girls were victims of child abuse. They were "home schooled" and kept in seclusion. Their days were spent "practicing" their music.

By far the best version of this. Heard it on GD hour in mid 80s and fortunately happened to be taping the show. Still have that sacred tape. I tried uploading it. a while back with no luck. Thanks for this!

The album used to be available in record shops in the Hard Listening section. Actually, I found this really enjoyable. As Spock might've said 'It's music Jim, but not as we know it.' It's just nice to see after all the gigs they did that they're getting appreciated.

we saw them at My Father's Place inOld Rosslyn, NY. A Bunch of us sang What's it all about, Alphie. the band cracked up and Alphonse looked pissed. Coryell quoted it in one of his solos.😂

one of the greatest periods of music history. besides all the classic rock, you haf fusion. Mahavishnu, RTF, Weda Report and the 11th House. phenomenal.
