How did you get this sound from Juno ? Setting ? Sounds amazing
@DallinJeppsonMusic3 күн бұрын
Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't remember which sound I used here. I know it was either one of the default pianos built into the Juno DS, or one from Roland's free axial piano libraries: axial.roland.com/ I did some mixing as well (EQ, reverb, etc.) to get the sound to where it is.

Roland released Juno D6/7/8, which has more sounds and the zenCore sound engine. But the sequencer is much better in our beloved Juno DS, the sequencer of the new juno D is much more primitive.
@DallinJeppsonMusic12 күн бұрын
That's really interesting, the sequencers differing!

@@DallinJeppsonMusic Now I love Juno DS even more! Perfect synth with perfect pattern sequencer.
@DallinJeppsonMusic11 күн бұрын
The pattern sequencer is quite good, not perfect, but definitely fun to use and gets the job done for a lot of things!
@Acrimonious_Snake11 күн бұрын
@@DallinJeppsonMusic I would say that for a pattern sequencer it is perfect. The most impressive is the ability to record with or without quantization or even mix different quantization settings in one track. Also it is great to have time signatures up to 32/2. We are able to set up to 8 bars of 17/16 or 21/2 if necessary. Which other sequencer allows that? The only thing I miss is the ability to send MIDI to desired channels from the Juno DS sequencer. It just doesn't send anything at all, so no chance to use it as a master keyboard in a DAWless setup.

Great playing! I have been learning piano for 6 months on a full sized digital piano. I love the idea of this instrument as I travel a lot. Would this instrument be good to practice on while I travel even with the smaller keys? Would love your thoughts John
@DallinJeppsonMusic5 ай бұрын
Hey John! Thank you 🙏 Yeah, this is a perfect portable instrument for practicing on the go. Because of the smaller keys, it will definitely feel different than a piano, so you won't be able to practice everything (technique on full-size keys, etc.), but it is still super helpful when learning. I've noticed that what I practice on the Reface CP does, in fact, transfer over to a real piano, with minimal adjustment.

Hi, just got this juno ds 88 from thoman and must say that it is a great keybourd i like the old technology of roland , i have all new stuf , yamaha modx + , rd 2000, fantom 07 , no one is giving the sound and feel that i am olways looking for , especially when playing live through a PA , one thing about the memory for the expantion ,only one expantion can be download to the juno, Did you finde a solution for this issue?
@DallinJeppsonMusic8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comments! I believe only one expansion can be loaded into the keyboard at a time, which is a bit sad. You can download the expansions you like onto a flashdrive, then load only one at a time into the keyboard from there. There is some software made by Roland that I believe allows creation of a custom soundbank. You could create a soundbank of your favorite sounds from multiple expansions, then load that bank into the keyboard.

I am a month away from getting Roland JunoDS61. I found out about it at a band camp that had one and i love a good Synthesizer, thats probably why i have the arturia microfreak, it is also pretty good, if you like making your own sounds. I immediately fell in love with this exact keyboard. I originally thought I was going to get the nord stage 3, but after seing the price, yeah no, that is for the far future.
