Wow!!👀 So that's what was done on my wrist also? Had surgery Jan 13th finger exercises 48 hours later! 2 piece cast w/ace bandage OT started one week after surgery. One set of 25 reps 3 times a day. From Doc&OT therapist. Could be just me but I think that many screw in such a small area seems a bit overkill?? But I'm not a doctor. All in all the Doc did a fine job. For some reason, I can't find a video that the surgery is performed on top of the wrist, I have a scar because i had a surgery for fractured wrist which was a Smith fracture
@precisionbrown68292 жыл бұрын
They don’t do surgery on top. It’s done underneath your wrist so if it scars badly, which is rare, then there’s not much scaring to see. Lots of nerves in both areas. That’s something they deal with. We deal with the outcome. When I got out of surgery that was awfully painful. I can take a lot of pain but that was intense. I kept asking for as much pain medication as possible! I was good until the next day. Didn’t have to take any pain meds until the following day after

Same here scaphoid surgery and screw inaerted. There's light at the end of tunnel though don't expect to have 100% normal. I fractured in end of Sept 2014, had the surgery in 4 weeks. Don't skip physio. Wrist strength and flexibility is paramount. 92% is where I'm at.

My mother just had rotator cuff surgery and I could not find any decent instructions on how to put the shoulder sling immobilizer on. We had to adjust it and it slid down so we took it off and started over. Your instructions on how to put this immobilizer on was very helpful as well as the instructions for the exercises.
