You can really reduce the drag ALOT if you switch up your air intake layout might get you some extra top speed, also don't be scared to fly at the top of the atmosphere, typically I can get to 1700+mps with rapiers when done right.

I think your ability with Kerbal aero engineering is very good, keep it up and you will soon reach more than 1000 subscribers soon!

Could have done with turning the game sound down in the edit, because when watching you fly it all we get is the constant loud blaring of the engines.
@ArchSQ319 сағат бұрын
I still need to figure that out 😂 I need to find if there’s a way to separate Game and Mic capture

for the next bomber, i recommend using either the wheesley or panther engines, as rapiers are mostly for spaceplanes.

I think that the one thing that gave you pain was the placement of your wheels. The trailing gear should have been significantly closer to the body allowing your plane to pitch up during takeoff. Also, I think it would be hell trying to land it. Other than that, what a wonderfull idea and what a lovely little craft. Obviously I had to build one straight away. Thanks!
@ArchSQ35 күн бұрын
That’s very true! I probably need to go back and rebuild some of these later on 😂
@jackwoodard16146 күн бұрын
Yoooo slight recommendation. Not trying to push modding, but if you like bombs, i suggest installing BD armory, it gives you an assortment of missiles, radar, and even anti aircraft guns and tank armor.
@ArchSQ36 күн бұрын
Oh I’ll definitely write down lol these mod recommendations 👀
@jackwoodard16145 күн бұрын
@ I also have a very good bomber if you would like to try it, it’s fully stock rn but it’s capable of reaching 1400 mps and it can hold several bombs while maintaining a slick design

@ArchSQ35 күн бұрын
I just got too into it 😂
@countcock56946 күн бұрын
I have returned, and with more forbidden knowledge >:) If you like BOMBS, then set the decouplers' ejection force to 0 before copying and pasting them. This will make them not get pushed down too fast when you drop them. Also you can toggle what axis your control surfaces respond to. As a rule of thumb: Canard and Elevator = Pitch, Ailerons(on the wings) = Roll, Rudder = Yaw. You'll end up with even faster, more controllable aircraft. Good luck in your future space/ KSC war crime endeavors. ✈

Dude that’s actually perfect cause I’m making the “Rod’s of God” orbital station next 👀
@MilesCzar6 күн бұрын
If you put a command pod and reaction wheel on the missile with some control surfaces you can steer it and lock it on a selected target I think
@ArchSQ36 күн бұрын
I have to be out of orbit for that I think 🤔
@MilesCzar6 күн бұрын
@ I don’t think so, maybe if you send another plane up and “park” it in high altitude, you could experiment with it
@ArchSQ36 күн бұрын
Will try that 👌

I've been trying to figure out how to hit a satellite for quite awhile. Looks like you got a lucky shot?

@jackwoodard16147 күн бұрын
And one more thing, action groups, you can set it to toggle your engines for your vtol craft
@jackwoodard16147 күн бұрын
Hey man, assuming you’re fairly new to the game but love watching your journey. May want to turn on autostruts in advanced tweakeables, it’ll save you a lot of time rather than having to manually strut things down all the time
@ArchSQ36 күн бұрын
Waitttt how 👀 strutting things down takes forever 😂
@jackwoodard16146 күн бұрын
@ okay so you want to go into your advanced settings. There you will find advanced tweakables. You will want to turn it on. Then you can right click on the parts on your craft and should see an auto strut option. Don’t do every piece but I recommend auto strutting to heaviest part

id reccomend not using your inline cockpit, and replacing it with a regular one if you're going to use fuel tanks/engines on the sides, and assuming subsonic flight, replacing it all together with a free-standing seat likely would be better. also, what mass did you get, as the 1.8 ton ssto vtol craft by stationblitz is rather small
@ArchSQ39 күн бұрын
Wait do you mean stratzenblitz? Can you send me the link to his video because the only one I saw that is remotely that small uses bugs to fly around. Also this is just a pure plane, not an ssto or supersonic. Just a small manned plane
@ArchSQ39 күн бұрын
I think the mass on this is 1.8 tons as well I’ll double check though
@cn84129 күн бұрын
So, most cockpits and control parts contain a reaction wheel. If the mass is small enough, it can be enough to control orientation. And, well, if you can roll'n'stuff, the wings do the rest. If you want to see how sound your plane really is, there are ways to turn off the reaction wheel.
