Do you really trust someone that bangs a hammer like that and half ass nails the plate?

ADMIN!!! Where are you? This video needs to be taken down. There are many videos here that have very good advice on how to make this sort of joint, one of which this is not. Lord help anyone dumb enough to follow these instructions.

Hi, do i need to remove the epoxy paint on my garage floor prior to using this? I guess yes, but the floor is so irregular that im not sure it's possible without some proper diamond cutting head professional thing..

Can you use mortar under the slab and then use the SBR/Cement mix as a primer to coat the slabs for extra adhesive?

Is the timber treated pine? If so, galvanised nails will rust and fail fairly quickly. I think it's the arsenic in the treated pine that reacts with the zinc coating of the nails. You'd be better off using treated pine screws!

my whole patio is loose, before doing this in the video would it be worth leveling off the sand base first? water and organic growth have got it so was wondering what i can do without digging up exisiting sand/cement base. Could i just reapply some sand/cement for the base and then do as youve done in this video?

Hey, thanks for the video. I am about to level about 10qs metres at about 25mm depth. You mentioned 4 and a bit litres of water but on the back of this 'NO NONSENSE CEMENT-BASED LEVELLING SCREED 20KG' it states 3.6 / 3.8 litres. I wondered if the instructions have changed or if you just added more than the instructions stated (3-50mm bags)?

Always mix whilst tipping the bag in, also if you do not prime the floor which I wouldn’t advise them at least dampen the floor 👍🏻

Remove them with and heat gun and a scraper.... Tilt the heat gun so the heat moves across the surface and the use a decent scraper and slide under.. Start at a join/corner..

This strap joinery may work for non-load-bearing joints, but certainly not recommended for load-bearing. Use a bigger hammer and SWING IT, for goodness sake! 2-3 hits! Don't just tap it a thousand times, like this video. Longer nails or crews are much better. See other videos on scarf joints and half-lap joints for load-bearing and much better appearance.
