The Chinese play a way more physical game. It’s why they are at their peak for maybe 5 years. A story I heard. Waldner was playing a Chinese guy in the Olympics, he came up to him and said my coach said he played against you before. He said I played against your coaches coach. That’s why the Chinese call him evergreen. He played in the Olympics when he was 38 I believe and lost in the bronze metal match. At 38, he’s roughly 12 years passed the Chinese players prime.

Да... Какая пластика, как легко делает, кошачьи движения... И как надрыжно всё выглядит в исполнении Ма Лона, Фана, Лиан Джинкуна...

Other players run to the ball with tremendeous speed, bending and stretching their bodies in impossible ways to be able to reach it. Waldner already stands where the ball will come. One of the greatest brains in the history of sports.

I'm probably not using the right word, but he's hooking the ball, right? With top and side spin? This is a tough shot to make, right?

What is illegal about it? Is it that the ball doesn't go straight up and straight back down? I'm new to TT, but i swear so many pros are doing illegal serves and nobody says anything.

The way how he slaps the ball with the forehand is insane. Like a flash 📸 and it's game over. I think this forehand and backhand of kreanga can be absolute table tennis player ever.
