Actually it's a cover of an egyptian song by Mohammed Abdel Wahab and originally sung by Om Kalsoum. But Balkan music has that oriental vibe too 🙂

But that goes to show how similar and interconnected balkan/middle eastern music traditions are… I’ve played a lot of these types of songs from countries like Turkey up to Romania!!! Balkans used violins and clarinets to get the fretless lead sound… fusion musicians use electric guitars and synths… I hope you’ll post more fusion like this!
