How does one get the smart search? Is it part of any of the packages they offer? I currently have the Reformed Starter package. But I don't seem to have this option.

If you have Logos full features, you should be able to sign up for the Logos Pro subscription. That's how you get access to the new AI features, including Smart Search.

Thank you for the walk down memory lane! The look of those extremely-older versions that were downright essential to my daily preparations for preaching, teaching, and writing long ago were fun to view again! Maybe you would be willing to update this as new versions come out 😊

I started this exact way in 2003, with I think at that time it was version 4, from a transition away from Wordsearch. Since then I have used it daily for my men's bible study group, and my wife uses it for her women's bible study group. I am currently using their version 10 portfolio version, and have continued to grow my Library to 5,019 books because the church my wife and I attend continues to demand more from us with new membership classes and such. I have a substantial investment and will like every other believer continue to grow in our knowledge as the Holy Spirit enables us to understand more. My senior pastor asked us to consider doing a couples group bible study through the whole bible in a year. Sounds like a tall order, and we will have to rearrange our schedules to accommodate such a group. I could not do the things I do at the church we attend without such a powerful tool to work with at the centerpiece of preparing our different bible studies in a very timely manner. Though I'm just a layman, with the spiritual gifts of preaching and teaching, I do recommend anyone truly interested in building their relationship the the God of the Bible, to do so In exactly the way you have described in this excellent video. Well done. Thank you so much for all the time and work you put into this video. I say this because I recommend everyone involved do the same thing you do in this video. I

This will only help you find the location in the physical book on your shelf (or in Kindle). If you don't own the book in logos, it will not give you access to it.

This is the only video of yours I've watched so far. But based on your visual filter of adding "immersion" to each instance of baptism, I thought, "I bet this guy is in the Church of Christ." And YEP! Confirmed. I'm in the Church of Christ too, but I'm not too hung up on the mode. But it was just funny that I had a guess just based on that. :) Thanks for the helpful videos.

I think I have been using it since version 2. It has been so many years now I forget! I used to have BibleSoft too, but Logos won out as my only program over the years. It is amazing the progress they have made and how well they have kept up with the times.

Nice! Thanks for making this. I started at the company in 1995 and I do remember working on all this stuff, including those floppy disks at the beginning. I'm on camera in the video briefly during the L6 segment, too. Fun! Peace and love.

Thanks for sharing the memories. Remember the fledgling software right up to version 4 when I knew they had the ticket to handle large datasets but for me the whole interface was just too clunky and the bugs seemed to be an infestation. Still upgraded but not a primary program for me. At version 7 I committed to the Program as a go to and by version 8 I was all in.

@@jpcsmcmjc121 I have not, I'm praying more about it and seeking counsel from a few of my previous professors I built relationships with at Liberty. The pursuit would not cost me much out of pocket due to Post 9-11 GI Bill. I think the biggest hesitation I have is the B- requirement.

@@seventeentwentyorg no, I don't think I did. That might make for a good video. But till then let me say that I'm a preacher and believe it's my job to constantly grow in my ability to proclaim God's word and lead his people. My educational background has been a little eclectic and this program rounds it out. All the degrees I've completed are related to the Bible, preaching, and ministry, but I've not had a single focus like preaching or exegesis. This Edd program is not just for preachers. There are people involved in lay ministry, school administrators, military personnel, preachers, and others.
