We’re looking a lot more solid, which is more important than anything. We had to stop leaking goals. Still a bit weak going forward, but once Bishop & Yenghi are back the goals will come. Very impressed with Farrell. Poole, McIntyre were again excellent & Lane. Paddy can offer us so much. Ogilvie & Saydee are struggling at this level.

Defensively we looked so much better today. I thought Poole & McIntyre were excellent & our shape & structure was far more solid. Keep playing like this & the points will start to come. We just need our strikers back!!

An extremely poor performance by us, against a very well organised & dangerous Sunderland team. Was clear pretty early on how this game was going to go. The harsh fact is Saydee was far too slow & lethargic. We completely lacked movement & creativity going forward.

Blown away by a top side to be fair.

Saydee is not really a top striker more of a midfielder if we keep playing him up front we will be in trouble hopefully by the time we come back from international break we will have a lot of players back and just maybe we will have a settled team to play with we definitely need to play a lot better than that against Sunderland okay they are a very strong team and deserve to be top but we should have done a lot better we will be playing a lot of good teams in this league and if we don’t improve we will find areselfs in a relegation fight no doubt about that come spring

Pompey are not ready for this level yet as proved against Sunderland are goalkeeper is not championship quality and unfortunately the defence is the pits we conceded really bad goals and you can’t do that in this league back to division one we go if we continue to play like that maybe by February we will be getting a new manager if not division one here we come again

so lack luster. the problem is player selection - not the right player in a couple of positions for the team we are playing - not Mouse's best skill. but encouraged by the the look of the new KAM and all the effort Richie put in

We are relegation contenders absolutely disgusting we were rubbish in defence and no ambition in attack why on earth did the manager not play the same team that drew away to Middlesbrough he really needs to improve his performance as a manager otherwise we will definitely be in the relegation battle zone soon
