I disagree. the music was great. Screeching Weasel was why I picked the guitar up and now I play jazz, country blue, blues, dark country and everything in between. The notes might have been simple but they taught me about melody and I'll never forget. Punk rock is politically correct but there are still guys like Tom Waits, and Lucero out there doing the post punk think. A lot of those 3 chord bands just grew into more technicality, but those Albus will alway stay in my heart. And the newer SW albums are sick; SW has still got if not better.

That's exactly why the Beatles were so great(althoughI'm sure I'll readBeatles haters on this pose) But John brought a lot of blue, Paul brought ballads, George brought an very English avant guard and sweetness and Ringo brought a different style of drumming. Then they all did vocal harmonies like the Isly Brothers, old style American roots music like Hank and Leadbelly Robert Johnson and some Jimmie Rogers and again the vocal harmonies like the Supremes and Ella Fitzgerald, added a little Elvis put it in a blender. made it English and they had something new. Well that's what great singer writers do.

Some Freaks of Atavism is a GREAT ALBUM! I listen to it all the time compared to other artists if such or other even different. Thanks so much for your work over the years. So the new Screeching Weasel album is so good its better than the new Faith No More even, anything else from the 90's that thrived then and tries too hard to come back sounds over-produced and like they are trying to impress. The new Weasel album is so raw and original punk its all new but still the same and its because you never found fame Ben. Your struggle as a person make you the best artist of generation and the sound you guys created and how it is so hard in pop music today nobody gives you credit for. when "new metal" died off and slipknot always sucked! YOU GUYS RULE! I met you on the northwest line once.. im a lifelong fan that's never seen you live... I really need to before I get to old....

No, the click of a button isn't better, granted I started listening to punk when we were using dial-up and Napster came out. We had to download each song individually to get an album. Hit download, go to sleep, wake up the next morning to see if they downloaded. Half would be failed and you'd have to try again.
