I felt bad for that Yosemite Sam. Pepe La Pew stole his act pretty much.

Awww, what memories! I haven't seen this in nearly 55 years! I remember this show! I think it ran on ABC, also, on Saturdays. It was really sweet that Porky had his own show.

I definitely remember watching this as a kid. They showed old MGM and Warner Bros. and Popeye cartoons from the Turner catalog, Hanna-Barbera cartoon shorts (i.e. the old ones in the "three shorts" format from the "Huckleberry Hound", "Quick Draw McGraw", "Yogi Bear", "Magilla Gorilla", etc. shows), and in 1996-98 they occasionally would show a "What a Cartoon" short.

Most of the sound effects are from Paramount (the same studio behind Popeye and Harveytoons)!

Wow, the difference in time between the original airing of these shows and the debut of Boomerang is more or less the same as the time difference between the "Checkered Past" block on Adult Swim and the original air dates of those cartoons. Really puts things in perspective!

god seeing ren and stimpy on actual movie film gives me so many endorphins. there’s something oddly beautiful seeing footage look this grainy on a 90s cartoon.

I recall a few of these showing up on USA Network's 'Cartoon Express' block in the 80s. What a time for cable; with stuff like this could be repurposed to fill air time on nascent cable channels trying to offer something for everyone.🤢

I didn’t think the Droopy one was that bad. It's poorly animated, lazy, and unfunny. But not boring (IMO the biggest sin any media piece can commit).

I remember my parents walking in when I was a kid around and 10 and some of these shows were on and I felt embarresed as they were so cheesy and bad, I am literally cringing watching this as I think back about how I had watched these shows and even tho I hated them they were the only thing on Saturday morning.
