I have a few duel games that are exclusively from my perspective during a tournament so I'm wondering if I should do commentary on top of them. I'm welcome to all feedback

Commentary would be great, especially if you explain your gameplay, choice of maps and characters plus a bit of the mechanics and how YOU in particular use them. Subscribed for what's to come. Question: why does part of the community seem to hate you so much, though? :D

This match was memorable since I was denied a QPL spot a few times and finally got it with this win. Also it was me sort of getting revenge since Dooi was the one who originally knocked me out of the Pro League in that Italy final that COOLLERZ won. I like Dooi and how he plays, its just a shame with Timelimit duel I don't think he has much chances to do well. Round Duels would be better for a lot of guys or at least to allow more styles and players to rise up.
@cipollino475415 күн бұрын
Thanks for the upload, SIB! You taunt so much here. What is your opinion on taunting in general? Some players have weak mental and are more susceptible to getting triggered by it. Why then not make it a part of your routine, even if there's only a slim chance that you'll tilt someone? Do the benefits of sportsmanship outweigh the benefits of taunting?
@SIBquake15 күн бұрын
Well I only taunted in this match because I had some problems with Chance. I just wanted to let him know what's up. Generally I wouldn't do this but if they made it so you could actually blow up your opponents body then I would do it almost every time in all games for the fun of it. Some players definitely get tilted and triggered by it so its probably good to do against them. I know if I were to shoot Nosfa's dead body for example it will really piss him off. I think the benefits can outweigh peoples perception of you being "sportsmanlike" or not. Especially if you already have a problem with the player and then it doesn't matter. I've had people shoot my body or even teabag me- its never made me upset and I always end up just laughing and feeling better. So I think you should play how you want, during the match who cares about being a perfect looking sportsman, as long as you're following the rules I see no issue. Its one thing to say messed up things to players outside of the game to create drama..over some silly actions in a video game.

@@SIBquake i generally agree with you but there's a downside or potential benefit. Some viewers care. They will see you as a villain/cocky player. They will start talking s--t about you and you'll have a bad reputation. Bad reputation travels, even if untrue or exaggerated. When there are invites, you might not get invited because producers might fear that some viewers don't like you. Then again, i would have done the same as you did with chance here. Very entertaining and awesome gameplay.

@@dariusus9870 I think the producers enjoy that there is a lot of talk about me. Because any publicity is good publicity when it comes to online events. the railgun and its consequences have been a disaster for quake
@SIBquake16 күн бұрын
Sadly this mentality from Quake 1/2/Live players like yourself exists. I think that's why SyncError butchered the Railgun, from listening to the small crowd saying things like that which make no sense for the betterment of the game. The Railgun adds more layers and nuance to the game. I don't understand the thinking that plus forward aggro Rocket Launcher / Lightning Gun play is better or more entertaining than having more options, and more play styles. Railgun is hype and should be stronger than it is now.

The last few years they nerfed Keel, Railgun, and all abilities too much to the point where so many people have quit. If they actually added more to the game, instead of removing things- that would help a lot. Although right now there is no reviving Quake Champions. When I won this match at the end of Insomnia I remember screaming so loud..I've never celebrated like that on LAN before. But it was the first Quake World Championship event that I ever participated in and I really wanted to be placed as Top 16 in the World, which I did. I had C0V1D at the time to where I was coughing up blood all day so it was insane to win under those conditions. Bukster was the best play from Challengers at this time, even above strongsage, yup, or myself. Everyone was talking about how much of a killer he was coming into this tournament.

@@SIBquake the thing I look forward to most when I watch a match is the commentators explain game mechanics and the current meta. Doing the play-by-play is nice and all, but the thing that grows a community and brings in new people is explaining what the players are doing and why. I've made this comment on other channels (like Starcraft and Mortal Kombat for example) and some of the replies I got from other viewers were stuff like "why don't you google it?" Or "dude, this game is 10 years old". That's fine for hardcore fans of the game that already watch the videos, but for new people who may get their first Quake champions match recommended "today", having commentators explain the mechanics, current meta and player strengths/weaknesses raises the chances they would click on "tomorrow's" video as well. Great recent matches btw - you've absolutely stomped the competition in the matches I've had the pleasure of watching so far :) them rail percentages are crazy!
